The Island House

I pre ordered for my birthday gathering at home and had my 11 meals delivered. Can only say that every thing was perfect. Even labelled each meal with the name of the persons order. The food was delicious had a variety of meals and everyone with out exception thoroughly enjoyed the food. Would definitely recommend.

By far one of the best chip shops ive been to in this area. The place is very clean, hygiene is a must for me. Staff was very friendly shout out to T and Chloe and the lady that looks like she could be T sister 🤣 sorry for got your name. Gave a fantastic service. The food lord have mercy the Food. Is on a next level. The Fish Bites and the battered chips. Outstandingly Perfect. Just needed Tartar Sauce. I even got the meat box with battered chips with lettuce red onions and garlic yogurt mint and onion sauce. The meat was seasoned so well, not like most kebabs which I find rather flavourless. The battered chips, was nice and crispy, salad fresh. Even the packaging food came in was very bespoke, like a high end fish and chip shop with affordable high street prices 👌 I really wish they had this place in London. Really would bring something fresh and different to Camden or surrounding area.

I have got to say this is the best chip shop in England by a country mile. My wife and I visited the shop tonight 3.7.2023 the staff could not help us enough.Cuesha and Carrie's front of staff were excellent,the chef behind the scenes knows how to cook.The prices and the size of portion were excellent along with the taste if you are going to Wolverhampton you must check this chip shop.out.

The staff here are all so incredibly hard working, polite and friendly. Our food was beautiful and fresh and the premises are spotlessly clean and tidy. We have ordered many times via UBER eats bit had never been in store before, we will be returning again soon as the choice is so much better in store. Thank you!

We drive all the way from Birmingham every few months just for this place. To put it simply, the best fish and chips I've had in recent years. Their battered chips is thick, crunchy and tasty. Their cod is coated in a thick and crispy batter, it's really flaky and fresh, you could not ask for more. It's made fresh to order every time we have gone. Staff are super friendly and the service is very smooth. I highly recommend this place!

We've had many a great fish & chips takeaway from the Island House but this time dined in and had a delicious Sunday roast. It took a while to arrive but it's well worth the wait. Quality food, generous portions, spot on! Even the kid's roast was huge, we'll definitely be back to enjoy the restaurant again.

I came here for an early evening meal with my family after seeing this place advertised by Google. We managed to get a table for 7 just walking in off the street, the staff were very accommodating and busied themselves to sort out a table for us within 2mins while we waited at the bar. The barman took our orders as well suggesting recommendations for our group which were taken up! (Island house fizz was gorge as well as 2-4-1!) Our waitress was great and took our order with care and attention. 2 of our group had a soup starter which was sublime.....never had a cream of veg soup look and taste that way, ever. Then when our mains came out we were all astonished at the portion sizes. They were substantial without being over the top! They also tasted absolutely amazing and there was hardly any food left over, which is no mean feat as we did have some picky eaters in our group. The atmosphere was lovely too, relaxed and friendly. We have now made this place our regular haunt now for family functions. They do have private rooms or a private dinning room, though not sure how many it seats. My only teeny, tiny criticism is that as it was quite a humid day in General, we found it a tad stuffy, but we still ALL enjoyed it all the same and will be back most definitely!
