The Hooded Ram

This place has amazed us in the past. Great food, really great food. Really tasty Indian street food. If your listening hooded ram then please sort out your Saturday nights. What are you trying to achieve? Music and atmosphere does not match the place. Make it unique, you have such potential, don’t be like the rest.

Walk in, place is spotless, spacious, plenty of seating without being crowded. Staff are friendly, the bar pulls are fabulous with wrought rams heads. The food is cooked lush, I had lamb Rogan and the lamb melted in my mouth. Presented wonderfully with the sides, plenty of choice and so much I've never tried and am looking forward to coming back to try! As someone who loves weird and wonderful and different I would recommend thoroughly! 10/10, absolutely chuffed, full belly, someone show me to the sofa I'm ready for a nap! Oh and for the one star reviewers, go away you boring sods and come back when you're interesting! Small minds will never enjoy such a colourful establishment!

We come here a lot, usually before we go to Planet or another club, and we always like it here. There's a good selection of drinks, and Gin, which makes me happy! And various tonics to mix it with. The prices are decent too. On this night there was live music which was great, really good atmosphere and lots of comfy seats. We also had food for the first time, we had 2 sharing platters between us, 1 meat and 1 veggie and all the food tasted amazing and was well cooked and presented and really good value for money. We will defo come back here for the food.

We had the mixed grill which included chicken, lamb, shish kebab and unusually some king prawns. We also ordered a vegetarian mixed grill and naan breads to go with. The food was delicious and authentic, the portions aren't massive belly busters but a mixed grill with naan is enough for two adults. Definitely would come back.

First time I visited this place, had a lamb kebab in a wrap for lunch, must say it tasted really nice, restaurant quality food. Even the chips are slightly different shapes to the standard ones, and they taste lovely too. The chef came out to introduce himself which was quite nice of him to do this, as I learnt that he was the head chef at the flamingo in Leicester where I have been before. This pub/restaurant is certainly worth going to for the food, and I will certainly be making more visits there in the future.
