As a family we've eaten here several times now including the Sunday Roast.
I can honestly say that the food being served at the Burcott is some of the best for miles around. It's a rare treat (no pun intended...) to find such lovingly prepared food all freshly made at the pub; from the starters to the deserts. The date sponge was amazing, I've had the best chips I've tasted anywhere and the Prawn cocktail frankly has raised the bar.

Celebration of a friends 80th birthday party. Sat outside in the shade, the owners put an excellent buffet. Enjoyed it, the friendly atmosphere was good, would have no hesitation going back, understand the Sunday lunches are good.

We were on holiday & had just arrived to the area, they were very accomadating, despite us not having a prior booking. The food was excellent, cooked to our specification, the staff were very friendly & accommodating

We were looking for a nice freindly pub with food after a day in Cheddar Gorge on the way back to Wells. We also wanted a dog friendly pub where we could relax in the garden. The food is simple but not a large menu. However the food was extremely nice home cooked food rather than the microwave meals now found in a lot of pubs. Ham and Eggs with chips was one of our choices and the other was the Chicken breast burger and chips. Nice freindly hosts 10 /10

So many pubs fall short of serving up a decent Sunday roast but you are not on that list. It was a really good authentic roast with plenty of veggies. The beef was lovely and rare, just how I like it, and the roast potatoes were light and fluffy. My compliments to the chef.....we'll definitely be back for more. Thank you!

Called while on a break down Somerset the landlord was very pleasant and the pub dog Barry is very friendly there was only bagets with chips on the menu but what we had was good the Landlord has only been there 2 weeks but he made everyone feel welcome.
