Good pub grub with something for everyone. Food was hot and to a high standard. We had the lamb and halloumi skewers this time which were tasty but we've been before for the roast dinner and would highly recommend. Service is always friendly. I would just say that their puddings are over priced at £8 each but otherwise I think the prices are fairly standard.

We’ve been here a few times now - our first was in search of our first house, once on a dinner date and another for a breakfast, post- Monton 5 Miler. I couldn’t talk highly enough about the Woodside - the staff are really helpful and considerate, the food is fantastic quality and great value; and the place, when it’s a bit busy, is actually really positive and everyone seems in good spirits! I think we’re happy it’s a local. One criticism is they call it ‘Brunch’ when it finishes at 11:30. Pedantic I know, but really that’s a breakfast and can be misleading if people don’t double check the times. But otherwise, absolutely fantastic spot and we’re very lucky to have it so close.

Excellent service from Lottie and great food. Am dairy free and everything was brilliant. Nothing was a problem and it was a great meal. Had the crumble with vegan custard, it was amazing. Definitely a place I would recommend xxx

We held the wake after my mums funeral at the Woodside and they couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. Great service, great staff, amazing food. Would highly recommend

Family get together ❤️ We all had a lovely afternoon at The Woodside, the food was amazing as always, plenty of choices on the menu for both adults and children. A big thank you to the chef's 👨🍳 x and a big thank you to Jess and the rest of the team for looking after us as we were a big group, service was fantastic. We will definitely be going back to The Woodside for future family celebrations 🍾

Went for lunch on Thursday.. food above average and desserts were lovely. Shame the service didn’t meant the same standards, waitress quite blunt and came across like she didn’t really want to be there! Definitely would have had a better experience if we had received service with a smile!
