Visited the crab shack last night. A really lovely and unique place to visit. Very friendly staff and delicious food. We had the sharing platter for two and it was very filling. A place I would definitely recommend

Came here with family and no expectations, left delighted by the whole experience. The menu was great; we wanted to order everything, including the specials. What we were able to devour was awesome, loads of variety of options and flavors. The staff were similarly fantastic; efficient and good natured throughout. Only small issue was it was a little chilly inside, despite if being a warm day, they have some heaters available, just ask to whack them on!
We were lucky that we had our choice of seating. Was supposed to be a rainy afternoon, but again our luck preserved, so we decided to sit outside. The service was prompt and convivial. Our orders were delivered in a timely manner and looked delicious. My crabcakes could have been seared a tad more, and the size expanded somewhat. Nevertheless, they were quite tasteful. The side order of French fries was equally fresh and flavorful. The price was in the upper range. Would definitely return.
If you like seafood then you must visit, the name gives it away only seafood on the menu apart from the deserts. Good value for money although it’s not cheap, the CrabShack Fish Plate was delicious and on the specials board the Dover Sole was well received. The wine list is not extensive but has been well put together with wines to accompany sea food. Decor is as the name, it’s comfortable and relaxing place to eat with great helpful service from knowledgeable, honest and happy people. I will certainly be visiting again. 😊
Went for friends birthday. Have been b4, was good but thisvtime food was exceptional. Best seafood I've had in a long time. Enjoyed very much 👌 As an owner of a local business I will certainly be letting clients no of the great food and service 😀

The staff were lovely and very warm welcoming and friendly 100% 😁.
The food was nice 👍, ended up with a lot of chilli lol with my starter which was the crispy squid.
The main meal was nice, the only downside I had experienced with this was inside the crab meat which was yummy, I come around bits on shell in it that meant I had to put into a napkin on the side for multiple times but other than that it was very nice.
The rest of the family had crab cakes for their main meal and they really enjoyed it.
Will definitely go back again! But I felt the portion size was a little small for the price but I would go back 100%.

Probably the best seafood I've ever had in the UK. I had the grilled Hake and it was incredible. Handsomely sized portions will ensure even those with a large appetite will not leave hungry. Visited on a weekday lunchtime and it was busy, managed to call 20mins before to ensure there was a table and they managed to squeeze us in. Recommend booking if you love seafood. Awesomely placed for a post feed stroll on the seafront too.
We visited the Crab Shack for the first time yesterday for a friend's birthday lunch. It was undoubtedly the best seafood lunch I've eaten, served by friendly and attentive staff. The Old School Prawn Cocktail starter was a generous portion of delicious prawns in a perfect Marie Rose sauce with two crevettes - almost a meal in itself. The main course nachos were outstanding too, so good that I had to ask for a "doggy bag" to take the last one home. We also tried to cram in some Crabby Loaded Fries as well, which were beautifully cooked. We shall definitely be back!
I've wanted to visit here for a while. My friend came down from London. Made a bkg as is recommended. Sat at front of restaurant nr the beach. Service was fast & no pressure. Food came quick & was as I thought thoroughly delicious. Had the popcorn starter to share. Then we had the platter to also share. Staff are attentive & of great help wiv any info required. Had great weather too. So all in all this place is 10/10 & fully lived up to my own expectations.
