I visited on 14.04.2017 for afternoon tea with my daughter and my mum I can honestly say the staff were lovely and attentive. The food was fresh and didnt scrimp on the fillings and what can I say about the scones to die for .. would highly recommend this place
This venue is one of my most favourite places to eat and socialise. The food is always spot on, the place is always clean and tidy and presentation is always top notch.
And as for the staff.. absolutely lovely, very attentive, polite, smart and friendly.
Dine here fairly often (not often enough!) & recently brought some of my managers here for a Christmas meal... nothing but positive comments from all of them.

One of the best Indian restaurant I’ve too.Brilliant food and service. They also offer a large variety of drinks. Really enjoyed our time there! The interior was also very appealing. We got the starter along with chicken tikka, Aloo tiki and Lamb seekh kabab was delicious, fresh and tasty. And the Main course was full of flavours not oily at all.

Having sampled many Indian restaurants within the local area we were struggling to find one where we would happily recommend or return to.
That’s not to say that they are particularly bad, but they are all very similar and uninspiring.
We attended Pakwaan this evening. We could immediately tell that it was a cut above the rest. The freshness of the food was clear to see and taste. Every dish was an absolute delight.
The staff were welcoming and everything was spotlessly clean.
If you prefer quantity over quantity then this might not be for you.
If you’re happy to pay a little extra for food that is prepared by chefs who clearly understand Indian cooking then you will not be disappointed.

This was our second visit & we were not disappointed. We all had a very good time. Excellent food & Excellent service. John made us feel like home. Even with short of staff which we can see they managed Brilliantly. We will be back sure.
The food and presentation was simply outstanding and the service was amazing. The manager, the chef and the staff are so friendly and made our experience really good. I have to say this was one of the best Indian food we have had in the UK. 5/5
Really really fantastic quality. The food is served beautifully in a contemporary style - something you don't get in most places.
Cocktails are nice.
I do think the menu could do with being a pound or two less. For example the poppadoms were around £5.
My Old Fashioned arrived without orange peel - I had to ask them to rectify it as they didn't do this themselves. They were out of orange. After asking them they fixed it quickly and added lemon.
Overall very pleased. Would come back again.
The food is amazing. The place, the staff and everything is really awesome. Highly recommending the place . It os one of the very few places that really serves real Indian food .

Our family had the pleasure of celebrating my dad’s 75th birthday at Pakwaan Indian Restaurant in Chelmsford, UK. The food was outstanding - each dish served was a delightful explosion of authentic Indian flavors.
What truly set our experience apart, though, was the outstanding service. A warm thank you to John, our server for the evening. His care and attention to detail elevated our experience from simply a meal to a memorable event. John went above and beyond, making us feel welcome and well-cared for - a true gem!
This wasn’t just a meal, it was a celebration, and thanks to Pakwaan, it’s one that will stick in our memories for a long time to come.
