Enjoyed a Sunday lunch here with a very good friend. The food was lovely, just the right amount, nice and hot & very tasty. The beef wasn't tough and fatty, which was good. Also made room for a pudding which was also very nice. The staff were very friendly and attentive which was excellent as the place was very busy. No doubts, we will be back

Called in after a difficult and stressful day. As neither of us could be bothered to cook thought we'd have someone else do it. We arrived at around 6pm. Place was quite with a few tables taken and lots reserved. Friendly staff said if we were dining, to take any table not reserved then took our drinks order. Menu was comprehensive and varied all cooked to order and fresh produce. We placed our order and enjoyed quiet drink whilst we waited. Food arrived about 20mins later piping hot and looking absolutely delicious. The place had started to quickly fill up around us but the staff were completely organised with drinks and meals being served without any problem. A smoothly run operation. Would recommend

Absolutely wonderful meal here 😋 There were three of us, myself and some friends visiting from Sheffield. They asked me to choose somewhere nice for a meal, so naturally I booked a table here. Mr G was a happy chappy with his pint of Old Peculiar! For mains we had the Chicken Jo Jo, and Mince and Dumplings. Both were lovely, home cooked, fresh and very yummy😋. Mrs G commented how nice it was to have a choice of fresh vegetables with chips rather than just a " few salad bits".... Also... THOSE CHIPS! Hand made, well browned and fluffy inside. Banging. Pudding. Well worth coming for the Biscoff Cheesecake alone! Overall, fantastic service, super friendly staff who were attentive; but not overbearing, great food and great value too. 1pint, 2 soft drinks, 3 mains and 3 desserts for less than £75!

Better book in advance even if you go early! We didn't but we're lucky. Great meal of corn beef pie peas and gravy. Comfort food. Loads of other great options but that was what was recommended to us by a lovely couple who switched tables with us to allow us to try and hide or dogs away. Very happy friendly place with a nice atmosphere.
