A very nice pub experience. We had fish and chips, lambs liver, and a delicious vegan curry. Everyone had good reviews over the food, nobody left hungry. The ales and the beers and the cider were fine. But what made it a five star experience was the friendly and helpful service. Thank you!!

Oh my gos I cannot believe how good the food was here! The burger I had was unbelievable. It was huge too myself and my husband couldn't even have pudding which is normally a must for our date nights. Highly recommend and will be back soon. Amazing chef. X

Met up with friends on Sunday for a carvery. From the minute we stepped through the door to when we left, we were made to feel very welcome. We were greeted by a lovely waitress who showed us our table. After ordering drinks we were shown upstairs to the carvery. What a feast awaited us! A choice of 3 meats, 7 veg, lovely roast potatoes, Yorkshire pud, all the condiments and the best gravy ever, so rich and tasty! All served by a lovely friendly chap! The waitress even carried down a jug of gravy for us, which was a lovely touch. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. 3 of us had a sweet, but sadly I didn't have room!! The sweets went down a treat, 2 had sticky toffee pud with ice cream and the other had the chocolate brownie with a toffee sauce. All served to us by a very pleasant young man! Followed by coffees. A lovely quaint, cosy pub, wonderful and helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. We will definitely visit again and would highly recommend to anyone. Well done to you all, keep up the good work!

Incredible food, fantastic service. Being eyeballed by the locals when you walk in isn't great. Would be nice if the eating area had its own access.

Just returned from a 1 night stay and we can not fault it. From the welcome we received, to the fantastic room full of character and spotless, to the delicious lunch time meal and breakfast. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the lovely staff. Had a lovely weekend and will most definitely chose to stay again. Thank you. ☺

Been for Mothers Day lunch. Food, service and ambience excellent. We are upstairs and the room looked great enough for a wedding reception. There were eight of us at the table and we were made welcome for nearly three hours. The vegetarian in our group had a lovely meal too. The staff were even shining the washed cutlery as we left.

Nice pub and b&b. I stayed there on business. The room was nice and spacious, with a decent bathroom. I was at the front of the building so it was a little noisy between 6am and 11pm. Breakfast was excellent!

Buffet could have been a little closer, had to climb a flight of stairs and into another room, like wise to return to our table downstairs. Food was of a good quality and the desert was to die for. Service was excellent.
