We arrived very late for the carvery and there was still lots of meat and a large variety perfectly cooked vegetables on offer. The staff were friendly and engaging. A very relaxed atmosphere and a fantastic carvery, very impressed.

Went there for a Sunday carvery. Excellent food and great service. The meal was reasonably priced with a choice of large, medium, or small size portions. We will certainly be going back again and I also noticed that they offer a take away service which we might well take advantage of at some time. I can definitely recommend the Great Lyde for a superb Sunday lunch.

Thoroughly enjoyed a Sunday Roast at The Great Lyde. A good selection of vegetables, including peas which you never normally get at a carvery, delicious turkey, cauliflower cheese and crisp but fluffy roast potatoes. The Biscoff Cheesecake was outstanding! The staff were super friendly, very polite and attentive and the place was nice and clean. A great family local pub, with lovely food which is good value for money.

Came up for a carvery and was very pleasantly surprised with the food, tasted lovely and was kept nice and hot aswell! Would definitely recommend and will be back in the future for sure!

Had a lovely meal here tonight. All freshly cooked, presented well and tasted delicious. They accommodated with no hassle for my daughter who requested a slight change in her meal. The waiter was amazing, nothing was a problem and he was kind and helpful. All round just perfect! 😊
