Gusto Restaurant & Bar York

Absolutely stunning food, fantastic service and a really impressive GF selection. Can sometimes be very difficult to dine out when you're gluten free as a lot of the menu is restricted however Gusto has gone to great extents to ensure the majority of the menu has alternative options. I love it here and will definitely be back again - alot!

It a little bit crowded in the restaurant, but overall atmosphere is great. The food are excellent, portion are quite big. The best of all is the service, our server is energetic, passionate and always wearing a lovely smile. (In case the manager seeing this review, it is the girl with long curly hair and was wearing a pair of big circled ear rings). Totally suggest to check out their promotion in Groupon, it is almost half price for the whole three course meal. It was an wonderful evening.

Had a dinner reservation and the food was really delicious, we ended up having 3 courses to get our fill. The manager was great, talking me through the allergen menu and sorting a substitute so i could have the dish I wanted. The reason for only 4 stars is that the overall experience was let down by the service generally as we had to flag down a waitress pretty much every time we wanted something (drinks, dessert menus etc). I understand it was busy on a Saturday night but the waiting was unreasonable. Would go back though given how good the food was and hope the poor service was a one off.

Italian at its best, the best 100 miles around York! Sorry Jamie....but it is better than yours. Food is excellent to superb! Desert 5 out of 5 too. We had 4 different dishes and none had any fault, though some say sea food pasta goes only with tagliatelle! Need to work out the espresso machine, it does not make favours. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, waiters are friendly, listening to any comment and very prompt. We had the lasagna, the duck, sea food pasta and haddock risotto. The desert was also varied and excellent t, but the best came the toffee pudding. Wine we had the merlot, decent priced for a restaurant.
