Nice to go back there again on a visit to York. Tempted to have the pan fried cod over risotto and not disappointed- very nice. Staff and beer selection top class :)

Lovely place. The staff were incredibly helpful & did not rush us even though we were taking our time! It was an new menu but the waitress made sure she knew all the info on how the food was served & cooked & what it came with. I had the salmon which came with new potatoes & a creamy sauce. It was cooked beautifully! XXX

Amazing food here. Both of our dishes were delicious. Friendly service with a nice drink selection. Would come here again for sure. Highly recommended by locals.

Food was very good and filling. They serve sunday roast and it was spot on because we were starving when we came in. The menu isn't too big, but just right to have some diversity, but not give you choice problems. The staff was very nice and helpful. Even the bathrooms were clean and nice.

Just been in for the second time for food and drinks, our first visit being 5 years ago and it’s still just as good as it was then, if not better. Love this place. Really good selection of beers and all really nice and well kept. The food was excellent and very good value for money. We went in on a very busy Friday night but didn’t have to wait very long to be served at the bar or for our food to come, as all the staff seem to be very efficient and knowledgeable. Well worth a visit.

Came for a whisky tasting event, had some food beforehand. Amazing classic pub food to choose from, not a huge menu which helps when making a choice. The staff are very friendly and helpful with their advice! We will be coming again when we're next in York.
