Booked a table for lunch for 4 of us +dog. Lovely welcome as we got there, very cosy/comfortable charming pub, we had the Steak and Ale Pie, Scampi and Ploughman's lunch everything was very nice, I've not been to the Hotham Arms for some time but really enjoyed it, I won't leave it as long next time.
Pleasant place to enjoy a Sunday afternoon meal! Good vibes. Quirky and original feeling inside and out. Child and dog friendly. Decent outdoor area. Great food
Nice pub with great pies and eccentric decor! I had a homemade steak and ale pie which was fantastic. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was also good but not the best I have had. No online booking available so had to call but seemed to be able to accommodate late bookings.
Only had a drink this timeas we had been on a countryside walk but the food they were serving looked absolutely fantastic. There's some unique items and collections decorated in and around the pub very quirky. Friendly attentive staff. I'll be back definitely
Beautiful place and lovely food. We say outside in the sun it was gorgeous. Thanks 👍

I came here with a large group of people (about 15 of us). Orders were taken and food arrived promptly. Even better it was 20% off food. Food was lovely. Will come back again.
We had a lunch here....we decided on two starters instead of one main meal. Soup was delicious and home made with a hot tiny bread loaf. Our second starter was perfect and we got lots of flavours. We were full so didn't try dessert. The staff were welcoming friendly and efficient. The room is quite dark and atmospheric with antiques, books etc scattered around. Lots of wood. An undercover outside area too plus lots of other tables for just drinks. We walked there and back which took in the beautiful area and cottages. Will be back!
Beautifully decorated pub and restaurant. Food was lovely and the staff were polite and friendly.
First visit, highly recommended by some friends. A good welcome & efficient staff. The food we had was excellent my husband's steak was the best he's had for a long time. Great desserts too. Definitely not "pub grub" standard, our meal was on a par with the Michelin restaurants we visit in the area. Our only complaint is that the lighting is so dim we had trouble reading the menu & seeing the plates, not ideal for us, so 3* for atmosphere & 4* overall. Next time we will try for a window table.
Love this place, very cosy with an antique collectable vibe. The staff are always welcoming and the food has never failed. Some days are way busier than others, so book. The pie and pint night was great, and a proper pie, not just a dish with a crust on top. Well worth the visit.
