Out with our sewing crew and the wonderful people at Bugqeeds fabric recommended this lovely vintage teashop. Catering for most needs at short notice they accommodated 9 hungry sewers. The food is all homemade, a food selection of tea , coffee and soft drinks which perfectly accompanied a delicious selection of treats - amazing cakes. Served by wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thankyou for providing us all with a lovely lunch. Bev.

Popped in for a coffee and fruit scone. Lovely tea room, with a huge range of sweet treats! We'll definitely be back to try some more. Staff were very friendly and helpful too.

This cafe is a little gem!
I went for afternoon tea as part of a hen party. As a vegan I’m always a little worried as to if places can cater for me, but they were fantastically accommodating, and the sandwich choices, scones and cakes were all really nice. They also had no problem catering for people in the group who were gluten intolerant.
The staff were lovely and friendly, and the cafe was pretty.
I will definitely be going back at some point.

We went here for a hen do celebration afternoon tea and it was everything I hoped it would be. The food was amazing - and 2 guests who had gluten free afternoon tea were especially positive about it! We took our own Prosecco and just generally had a lovely time. I will definitely be going back to sample more cake! The ladies working there were so friendly and it just feels good to know we're supporting an independent business. Highly recommended!

A great place for cake or lunch if you are in the area.
We shared the cauliflower soup with a cheese scone with cream cheese and chutney topping (usually come with ham). Top notch cheese scone. Fluffy on the inside and a good crunch on the outside.
A good selection of loose leaf teas - I had the gunpowder green which was lovely.
We didn't have any room for cake, but based on the options on the display counter and how good the scone was, it all looked very tasty.
They have seating at the back on the ground floor, as well as a few tables upstairs.
They have plenty of vegetarian options. They also offer a gluten-free / vegan afternoon tea on their menu (pre booking essential).
The gift shop across the road, Birdies Perch, is well worth popping into if you have time.
