Wilde's Wine Bar

My husband, brother in law and I stopped at Wildes for Saturday lunch and the experience was wonderful. The staff were lovely and provided great service, and the food was reasonably priced and delicious with generous portions. I enjoyed a mozzarella, tomato and pesto sandwich on ciabatta bread which came with a side salad and crisps.

Received a very warm welcome while visiting with our dog. Staff were very attentive and friendly making sure we were happy and comfortable without hovering. The service was so good we would have been happy if the food was mediocre. But the food was absolutely top notch with a good selection of veggie and vegan options. Highly recommend!

Lovely little place with a great pub atmosphere. Service was good, food was delicious. Had a nice time with the family. I had a chicken burger comes with side salad and fries. Place was packed at the time on a Saturday lunch time this close to Xmas York is massively busy. Quaint little hidden gem of a pub...okay maybe not hidden that much but hey 😉 Decent reasonable prices!

This is a hidden gem, at first it looks to be very small but it opens up further into the property. The tables and chairs are set up so as to give diners plenty of room but still have a cosy feeling. The food served here was exceptional. The steaks we ordered were cooked to perfection with large portions of sticky toffee puddings to finish off and a well stocked bar, lovely. The prices were on par with other properties in the area.The servers, sorry didn't catch your names but you were working on the night of the 18th Nov ( one, the girl whose relations live in Ainster😉 and the other, a tall lad) were polite, prompt and well presented, they really made our night enjoyable with the banter, well done! Best meal we have had on our trip to York. We will be back next time we're in York.
