Small but beautifully decorated restaurant. Not licensed so you can take your own alcohol. Staff friendly and very responsive. All food fresh and tasty with no long waits. I asked for a recommendation and was told the mustard lamb....and it was super. All 4 of us enjoyed the whole experience, food, staff, decor and vibe, and will definitely return. Couldn't wish for better!

We came to break our iftaar here after we were recommended by a regular, the restaurant was cosy with nice decor and the staff were very friendly and provided amazing customer service. The food was amazing and had authentic south Asian food, which was adapted to our spice tolerance. As a south Asian myself, I normally find food to be bland in York but this was far from bland. Overall I really enjoyed my time here and will be coming again

Fabulous friendly place with a great vibe. We wanted a couple of dishes not on the menu and the waiter confirmed they could make the dishes for us. Food was tasty and came out very quickly. Coffee afterwards was great and the added bonus is you can take your own drinks which made the whole evening very affordable. Will be our go to the next time we're in York!

Outstanding food - our group had the Garlic Chilli Chicken, Prawn Vindaloo and a Kashmiri dish and all were totally delicious.
Great poppadoms with fresh dips to start (including a spicy one that I’d not had before) too.
Fab service from the waiting staff too. An all round great experience on a very busy night.

The food was exceptional. They made us feel so welcome and the service was great. When we visit York again, this restaurant will be on the list as a go to. Remember if you want alcohol, take your own.

Absolutely tremendous. Great service, food came remarkably swiftly and it was outstanding. I had the Balti Kashmiri Karahi and it might just be one of the best curries I’ve ever had. Even the nan breads were great, nowhere near as greasy as conventional Indian restaurant naan breads. It might be slightly out of the city centre, but if you’re in York and you fancy an Indian, it’s well worth the extra travel.

The best Indian restaurant that I've ever been to and I've been to many. The food is authentic, plentiful and sublime. The staff are so attentive and the prices are very reasonable. You definitely need to book so that you won't be disappointed as it gets very busy even mid week. One of York's best kept secrets.

Absolutely loved the food. Made the food according my preference (lot of spices) and they were great. Chicken and other meats are halal except for Venison. Recommended.
