One of the most beautiful meals I've ever eaten. I ordered the Mushroom Shawarma and it was incredible. An explosion of flavours. Succulent, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth mushrooms with a gorgeous creamy sauce, fresh crisp salad and a zingy tang from the pickles and slaw that tied the whole thing together perfectly. My partner ordered the ribs and said they were delicious too. I'm so pleased we decided to come here on our visit to York and can't wait to come back again. 10/10

If like me you want to dine & support local (vegan) businesses then this is the spot! Granted you'd only be able to afford to visit one every so often as if is a tad on the expensive side! Perhaps they'd do well getting more people in the door if they had offers? I was the only person dining at 8pm on a Monday night so the service was super quick! The food was outstanding! The Faux Gras was tasty but could do with some salt/soy sauce to give it a bit more of a salty flavour. The Lobster Bisque & Mac were a combination made in heaven, I haven't had heart of palms made as well as these! Very flavoursome! The sticky toffee pudding wasn't hot enough, it came out slightly warm, I appreciate it's served with ice-cream which they probably don't want it to melt before it gets to the customer but again was very NERY tasty! Overall a highly recommended place to celebrate a special day, cost-wise not somewhere you'd go for a reasonably priced meal (3 courses with a large house white wine was £36.50)

Yum! What a treat to go to a vegan restaurant where everything is such a high standard. We lucked out and got a space on the terrace in the sunshine and had a lovely time. We really enjoyed our mains and sides (chickpea omelette, banana blossom, slaw and frickles) and we washed it down with sangria. The staff were great and really helpful. I really hope to go back to York soon so I can visit Source again!
