Nice pub . Friendly staff. Lovely gardens and kids play area. Good place to stay with motorhome or caravan . 10 minute walk to Tesco's and a short walk to the park and ride. Pub is quite noisy when showing the football.
The owners and staff are outstanding, super friendly, helpful to everyone and relaxed environment. Exceptionally clean everywhere. The cleaner is also very friendly.
I stayed in the caravan park, such a lovely vibe. Bathroom exceptionally clean, grounds immaculate, pretty and very friendly gardener. Beautiful place to stay.
I had a wonderful birthday break away seeing York.
Thank you Dave, Paul, Bill and staff.
Helen-Maree 😊
Clifton Moor and Rawcliffes premier Pub that affords Bistro standard food.
Sports screens show all popular sports, beer garden at the rear offers good seating areas for families and areas reserved just for adults and non smokers.
Various meal deals: Wednesday Steak nights for example and Thursday quiz nights are popular and well attended
One of Yorks best out of town pubs
We had a short visit as we were staying in Flaxton so took the kids here to play while we had a couple of drinks. Kids seemed to enjoy it so that makes a difference. I didnt go inside as I had the dog with us so hubby got the drinks. Nice beer garden and kids play area so can only give 5 stars on that basis.
Great atmosphere and staff are brilliant. Had a great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks 🙂 food was okay 👍 what you'd expect from a local well run pub. I would recommend it for relaxed dining.
Nice bar, friendly and polite staff. Lovely outside space and plenty of parking
The menu looked good but I was disappointed with the chicken kebab on flatbread. All of the chicken meat was brown& rather chewy rather than any breast meat. As it had been fried or grilled it shrivelled up into lumpy chewy pieces, at £16 this was expensive for what it was.
Haven’t eaten here yet but the food always looks and smells delicious.
Drinks are reasonably priced and the staff put on a pretty decent, pen and paper quiz on a Thursday night.
Absolutely amazing lovely succulent steak taste out of this world lovely meal in all... lovely service. I will be back very nice full marks..
Nicely situated in a quiet area, kids friendly with an outdoor playground and plenty of sitting spaces both outside and indoors. The food was really delicious on Saturday menu, the steaks were simply fantastic and hot veg and cold salad served with amazing dressing. Our waiter was very kind and helpful in accommodating our gluten free needs. The pub was very busy on Saturday evening however nicely designed bistro area was so relaxing for us after a long day out. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
