Nearly walked past it, as someone else has said wasn’t the most obvious to find. Tasty flat white! Sweet treats looked good but I managed to dissuade myself. Will pop back soon and get some beans!
We were a bit befuddled trying to find this, as the sign outside said it was The Lawrance. I’m still not quite sure about the relationship between the two as once inside, everything is branded Divine Coffee.
We had stayed at The Lawrance Apart hotel the previous night (highly recommend, see my review).
The cafe is very small but the coffee is indeed divine. All the staff were extremely friendly & efficient with a good sense of humour, though beware of exploding coffee bean bags!
My wife & me both had caprese on toast. It was excellent.

After ordering coffee Via post, we were keen to see what this place was like when visiting York. I only have praise for the welcome from all the staff on our visit and can thoroughly recommend the bagels for breakfast, as well as the coffee of course. Other places can learn a lot from these guys who genuinely welcome you into their place. They made our silver wedding anniversary breakfast a great experience.
Wow. Staff knowledge about coffee is amazing. I went there to get some coffee beans and i learn a lot about coffee brewing, temperature and taste from young man ego works there. I recomend this place if you are coffee lover.
Stumbled over this little gem today, just the best smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel and bagel special (scrambled egg, bacon, chilli jam). Coffee excellent as well.

Sadly there was an issue with my order, a big delay in shipping BUT ... Devine coffee very kindly offered to send us some freebies to try as compensation for the delay... Brazilian, Columbian & Ugandan , not necessarily something I'd normally try but WOW the flavour is amazing. I love it

Started ordering beans from Divine after visiting their cafe in York. Quality is great, price is very reasonable and beans delivered next day to London without fail. Very impressive.
I've been an online customer for at least 3 years, I get all my coffee beans from Devine Coffee Roasters. I've sampled pretty much all their range, my go too beans are the Fortuna and Darkside, the Christmas beans are a superb treat during the festive season. I've also visited the coffee shop, which is very much worth hunting down to get your morning coffee before a day out in York and learn more about Devine's business model from their engaging and knowledgeable staff.
Delicious bagel, great coffee and lovely courtyard at the back, we didn’t know it was there at first but had a lovely brunch out there! Well worth a visit
