Excellent mixed grill. Good cheap beer in a lovely village boozer. Shame Dads burger was served in a cardboard box on a plate which is a bit odd outside a takeaway. The reserved sign on the available dining tables is also confusing. I love the place though. Sam Smith’s cash only option caused a scare, but that was my fault. Friendly staff too! Thanks.

The landlord & landlady make you feel welcome..the atmosphere is very warming. The food is home made and delicious. Would recommend a visit.

Very nice pub to visit, the landlady is nice and friendly , it serves good ale and meals if you want a place were there is no music blasting in your eardrums so you can have a decent conversation with each other then you can't go far wrong by visiting this pub all in all a very nice place to go for a drink and a meal.

Lovely pub with fantastic staff and a warm welcoming fire.Food was homely and really tasty with proper gravy not granules.Puddings were enormous and gorgeous. Only downside to this place is it's a Sam Smith's brewery and only serves their stuff.But for £30 we both had a lovely meal,pudding and drink and enjoyed it!!!! Well worth a visit!!!!!

Cyled over and Sat outside and read my book with a G and T in the shade on a hot, sunny day. A nice view of the birds on the sadly depleted globally warmed pond. The inside of the pub was a little dark and gloomy but had a regular clientele for the what looked OK pub fare and Cheap Sam Smiths drinks.

Excellent country pub. Lovely ambience with open fires and cosy setting. Always a warm welcome. Recommend the pub quiz organised for local charities on the last Tuesday of each month.

Enjoyed Sunday lunch. The Pure Brew organic larger is excellent. Would have been 5 stars but the Yorkshire puddings served were cold, however they were replaced immediately. Lovely village pub.
