Good range of veggie and vegan food. The food was very good quality and the tea/coffee were also first class. It was a little disappointing therefore when the drinks were brought to the table over 10 minutes before the food. So they were not hot enough to wash down the very good scones and cakes. My partner did mention this when paying and they did seem to take on board her comments. The atmosphere and interior were very good too.

Wonderful coffee shop and restaurant, stopped here for a quick coffee after visiting York Minster and was so pleased we did. They have coffee and teas as well as a great selection cakes all made from their healthy larder which is the basis for all their food, we had a Blueberry muffin and Superseed bar we loved the atmosphere and the staff are super helpful with dietary needs, so we booked for diner .... more about later

Walked in on Saturday night without booking a table. My partner has an egg and dairy allergy and they were more than helpful in adapting their menu. Made no fuss about it whatsoever and made her feel relaxed. Very very nice food which arrived soon after we ordered and staff were very friendly and knowledgable about ingredients/allergens. Highly recommended

Loved my hummus eggs ...... perfectly poached egg on sourdough toast with mushroom, tomatoes and more - Scrumptious and healthy too! Hubby enjoyed his burger and we both enjoyed his sweet potato fries! 😉Coffees were so delicious we had to have a second and service was superb. Would highly recommend eating here if you fancy a cut above the multitude of generic coffee shops and pubs on offer in York.

Loved it here! The lady that served us (Hope?) was fantastic. Friendly and helpful when picking food and drink aswell as local knowledge even though she hadn't been there long. The food was tasty and felt lovingly crafted. It may have been an accident, but I was also very happy with my free poached eggs!

I passed by for several years before finally dropping in last week. Very impressed with their healthy yet hearty food ethos. Brunch menu is appealing; I've only been for dinner so far but was very happy with the fish cake. Cake range has something for everyone: palaeo, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian were all on offer this morning. I am a big fan of their hot chocolate for not being too sweet! Their fresh cold drinks are also yummy. Not the cheapest but it's very good stuff. I'm now a repeat customer.

Very small place perhaps a half dozen tables downstairs and a dozen upstairs where you can watch the two chefs working in a very small open kitchen. The food was excellent, a chicken, honey and date tagine, and a home made burger with hummus bread bun. Staff were friendly and helpful. We returned mid afternoon for a break we had hot chocolate with cacao and coconut milk on the recommendation of the waitress which was wonderful and a couple of cakes - the chocolate brownie was amazing. Not the cheapest place to eat but you get what you pay for, and I consider it good value for money.
