Indian Ocean

I've got takeaway from here a few times and it's always so so sooooooooo tasty. The peshwari naan is so doughy and delicious, the onion bhaji dipped in the minty yogurt pots they give you is fantastic, and the CURRY. Oh my god I love the curries. I usually go for a prawn dish and it's always exactly what I wanted. The sauce is always so rich and full of flavour. I can't vouch for the other meat dishes but the prawn ones are great. My parents look forward to coming to stay because they can get a takeaway from Indian Ocean. 10/10.

Ordered a delivery through the app, arrived quicker than expected everything was as Ordered. Three very happy customers will certainly be ordering from here again only dilemma will be what to have.. Edit We have ordered again since, once a month as a treat, very happy with it after trying out lots of Indian takeaways since we moved to York this is our go to. Vert happy customers. The onion Bajis are amazing!

I recently posted about the small portion sizes now it went from a 2 to a 5 star review hear me out. It's improved and this isn't something I say often. Curry is my favourite so it isn't hard to get a 5 on this topic but it has to be done right and when I say right I mean seriously right to perfection , which you guys did last order. Past few times orders have taken forever and the portion sizes have not even been enough to feed a bird and stone cold. Last order my portion was enough to feed the family from Home Alone food was still hot and it tasted fantastic. Delivery time ✓ Staff ✓ Service ✓ Price range X food quality ✓. Now I say price range X due to spending £15 for delivery. But you earned a solid 5 star review and that's hard from me I hope the next orders are this way. UPDATE If I could give 1000 stars I would, The best curry I have ever had is from here this place is seriously a hidden gem and I haven't even dined in yet! Seriously this is the best Indian not just in York but in the whole of the UK. Gorgeous everytime and the delivery drivers are friendly. ORDER HERE! You will not be disappointed!

Wow. What stunning food. Served straight away and attended to throughout. Lots to choose from and mouth watering. Would never hesitate to recommend or come back again well done team. This is has always been my families go to for Indian cuisine both in a takeaway format and visiting their wonderful restaurant. The food is divine and customer service exemplary it is no wonder that we always endeavour to book a table for any family celebration (birthdays here are a right of passage!). We went for the first time since lockdown for my sisters 18th and it was nothing short of perfect! I would like to give special credit to the new blonde haired staff member that was not only welcoming and accomodating but hilarious! I cant wait to celebrate at the Indian Ocean once again! P.s. one recommendation would be to make adjustments to card payments because the card reader has struggled to pick up a signal for a significant amount of time which can result in some awkward interactions.
