24.09.23. What a wonderful surprise to find South African food in York. The interior is rustic and the guys running the place are charming. The food is authentic and brings back memories when we lived there. The food is freshly prepared and prices for drinks are very reasonable. Take a chance and go there
We had a lovely dinner there. I'd recommend their biltong, it was very flavoursome and a great portion, and the oxtail which was super juicy and came with a splendid side of rice and what I believe where collard greens. Really delicious. The owners came to chat with us and ask us how we enjoyed the meal, which was very very sweet. Would definitely recommend.
Zak & Nate were first class. We booked with two children aged 5&8. They couldn’t be more accommodating- the menu suited us all. We loved the food, the hosting & the atmosphere and will definitely be going back soon!! Thank you guys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
