I honestly can't remember how I found out about this place but I started following them on Instagram and the food pictures they were posting looked amazing so we took the plunge and went there ourselves to see what it was like. Because it was Remembrance Sunday, they were doing a "free" cake of lemon and poppy seed but requested a donation to the Royal British Legion. My partner had a slice of that with a cheese scone and I had a slice of home-made apple, cinnamon and nutmeg cake with a cheese scone. They were served with cream cheese and Stokes tomato chutney. The tea was nice but we could have either done with some extra hot water or a larger teapot - got just one and a half cups out of it. It was reasonably good value though. The menu on their website says that they only take cash but they do now take cards which is a bonus (although we were already prepared!). Not sure whether they had Wi-Fi, we didn't check on this occasion. If you want to sit near the window and the seats are free, jump on them quickly. We were told that there was "additional seating in the other room" but this turned out to be a single large table which we had to share with others. We dithered and didn't manage to get a seat at the front - the light streams in through the windows at lunchtime and it's lovely to people watch from there (if that's your thing!) Highly recommended and we'd definitely go there again.. although there were a couple of other cafe's that we'd like to try too!

Must visit this tearoom if you are visiting Aldeburgh. Super friendly staff. Great advice for dietary requirements. nostalgic decor. Two page selection of loose leaf teas with in depth descriptions. Also provide coffee, hot chocolate and soft drinks. Hard not to bee tempted by their array of cakes offered. Clear signage for covid restrictions and all tables abiding the 2 metre distance. Outdoor seating also offered. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.

Gorgeous tea room with an excellent tea selection, lovely sandwiches and very good cakes! Had a really wonderful time in the courtyard garden surrounded by birdsong, it's a lovely suntrap! The food menu consisted of a soup and several sandwich options including, at the time of my visit, one vegan and one vegetarian option. The cake menu included at least 3 GF options. I had a white tea, hummus, avocado and sundried tomato sandwich followed by a green tea and a pear and hazelnut cake. All were excellent. Service is great, I was neither neglected nor rushed. Will definitely be back!

If you are in the area, do not miss this tearoom! I promise you will not be disappointed. Great selection of tea and the most delicious cakes, making choice the hardest thing! Today I’m having Apple Crumble Cake...... beautiful! Amazing mixture of textures and the apple and cinnamon blend is perfect.

We had a pot of tea for 2. They use real tea leaves and there's enough for 2 and a half cups each...one of the nicest cups of tea I had in ages. I love the eclectic mis-match of china. It adds to its charm. We also had salmon sandwiches with a generous amount of salmon in them...and the cake was delicious too. Service is great, they come to your table to take your order which is so lovely....will definitely come here again. 😊

Lovely little tearoom. The outside seating to the rear is very limited & rather tight but on a sweltering day was very welcome. As was the staff. Didn't try the cakes but the lunch menu was good & food tasty. One to remember for next visit to the town.
