Great little bar / cafe in Amble. Decent selection of bottles from local breweries and a good looking selection of food. We nipped in 10 minutes before closing and the staff were fabulous, let us finish our beers while they finished up and gave us lots of tips for things to do in the area. Extra star for being dog friendly too! Love supporting local businesses and when they are as honest as this one it is easy to do.

Went to the sand bar for breakfast and left very impressed (and full). The cafe is dog friendly and our pups were even spoilt with a treat when our orders were taken.
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Had a full Scottish breakfast and can fully recommend this, food was really good quality and they even swapped items we didn't want.
Would fully recommend Sand bar, it's really well placed for the Sunday market too which is worth a look.

What a place we just turned up 3 hungry golfers on way to Warkworh Golf Club full English was very very nice service was class happy and helpful a must for a great food and atmosphere thanks will be back

Small cafe near the harbour, clean and well presented. Good choice of food on the menu and we both chose the smaller option from the pasta meal selection. Different choices but both very good and very filling despite being the"smaller"option. Some excellent paintings on the walls too. Staff friendly and efficient 👍.

Every time I come here the food is delicious, well made with top quality ingredients. The whole staff are an absolute pleasure and the service is brilliant.
I've been for food a few times and can highly recommend the cooked breakfasts, and the coffee is lovely.
Evening cocktails are fabulous too. I'd recommend the espresso martini if you like coffee.
The atmosphere is wonderful and friendly and there is a great view over the harbour to enjoy as you eat/drink.

We popped in this afternoon and had a lovely late lunch. What a really lovely cafe, not a huge place but it had a lovely atmosphere. It was spotlessly clean, nice music playing, friendly staff and the food was so scrumptious and not expensive either. Think the regular latte could of been bigger it was a small one really, the large is just an ordinary size latte cup. I'm sure we will be back when next in amble. Thanks

Set back from the harbour, the Sandbar has great views over the haven and dunes. We enjoyed a breakfast here early one Saturday. Most impressed. Great flavours, great service, food cooked with a professional touch, hearty and satisfying. Delightful. I'd eat here, and pop in for coffee every day but I live somewhere else!

Picture is a bit blurry, but probably the best breakfast I've had in a while! Perfect egg and the best black pudding I've ever had. Very quick service and friendly chatty staff too, felt very welcome.

Lovely little café that you should visit if you're in Amble and in need of refreshment and especially if you're coeleaic! A wide range of sumptuous gluten free cakes were available when we stopped. The do large capaccino coffee - and they are large! Very friendly and dogs welcome. Couldn't have wished for better!
