Mokoko Coffee, Southgate

I’m a local and really fond of Mokoko - the coffee is great and the people are usually lovely - but I’m often perplexed by their lack of pastries! There are never pastries in the Dorchester St branch when it opens at 8, and the Southgate hut frequently sells out really quickly (ie by 11am this morning when I stopped by!) - but the bakery is just down the road?! I would be spending a lot more money there if they kept the amazing almond croissants in stock, and they must miss out on quite a lot of commuter business early morning 🤷‍♀️ But I’ll keep going back for the coffee, and I hope they do better at stocking their delicious pastries in future 🙏

This is one of my favourite places in Bath - the staff are great and very knowledgeable and the quality of the food and drinks is top notch. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. N.B. Not all of the Mokoko outlets in bath have Zummo machines for fresh orange juice, which I only learned recently.

Every morning before work, I can always rely on my favourite place for an amazing cup of coffee. Mokoko has been the most accommodating but what really tops it off is the staff. Lori has been the one I am waiting for in those mornings. with her brilliant coffee making skills, funny wit and great music taste. She really lifts my spirits in the mornings.

Always have a lovely time at Mokoko, staff are very welcoming and friendly, especially Lori. Lori helped my child when he fell down and always has the best recommendations, I have never been let down by her! I make sure to go every weekend to have a chat with her and it is the best coffee, hot chocolate for my son, we have ever had!! Thank you Lori, and all of Mokoko, for a wonderful establishment. Little Corey asks to go every week :)
