Beaconsfield Flake Fish N Chips

Where to start..ordered over the phone on good friday, was told 30 mins, took over an hour in the end for the order to be ready (yes I get that its busy but don't tell people its 30 mins when its doubled). Finally get the order, bring it home, order was correct, however too much salt on the food, cold chips because of the mass pre-cooking and the fish was super oily, and also having brown/off bits inside it as per my photo. Wouldn't recommend getting it from here on a public holiday as they can't seem to cope when they are busy, or at all.

For starters the manager needs to not make out customers are lying it’s called etiquette. The food was disgusting and reading other reviews I’m not the only one. The chips were over cooked and bitter like they had been reheated 5times chips are supposed to be golden not what I got (see pic) and a lot bruised poor quality potatoes. Hardly any chips for what they charge.The potato cakes were awful and the fish was soggy and batter bitter. I rang to resolve but the manager was rude and argued. I’m not well and he expected me to drive and bring the food back really after I told you that wasn’t possible (fish went to my dogs) which is why I ordered through menulog. Will never buy from here again

Never had a problem here, food has always been good, but placed an order yesterday including a Chiko Roll. They obviously don’t know the difference between a large spring Roll and a Chiko Roll. There is a BIG difference and they should know by just looking at it. Was so looking forward to my Chiko Roll but instead received a greasy Spring Roll. Not Happy Jan 😩

With the abundance of choices of fish & chips in Berwick and surrounds; this place is unfortunately amongst the lower ranked ones. Poor value, very small serving sizes. King George Whiting fillet was barely 10% bigger than a (flake) fish bite. 1 is $1.50, the Whiting costs $10 on ML. South Melbourne Dim Sim I ordered came squished - it was a flattened dim sum piece and they charged more than other places who don’t squash them.
