The Beach Hut Bar And Seafood Kitchen

Amazing. Off the beaten track. But wow! Food terrific. Welcome very warm. Great atmosphere with subdued '60s music. Views over the sea to die for. They have 10 rooms. Very well priced. Great base whilst on IOW. I'd stay here without doubt......give it a go, you WON'T be disappointed. Tony Perrin. (Prepare to be very pleasantly surprised).

Tucked out of the way and positioned down on the Beach 🏖️, fantastic little cafe set on 3 levels, ground is eats with Hawaiian style parasol, 2nd level again eats for groups of people, 3rd level the bar. Great service and food was lush, will go again when on the IOW. This Beach Café was featured on the ITV program Isle of Wight.

Wow!! What can I say !!! The last time I came here was 2016 with my son and the restaurant consisted of a couple of tables and no toilet !!! We had no preconceptions and came with my in laws who live on the island!!! After a bit of a Rocky start with service the food was delivered!! To say that the quality and quantity was out of this world was an understatement!!! We all ordered the sea food platter !!! The variety of beautiful fish was outstanding and so was the freshness and quality!!! The waitress who’s Birthday it was dressed in a beautiful pink dress who's shift started while we were in the middle of our meal was the best !!! Make sure you keep her she turned the service to an outstanding immediately!!! This restaurant is an absolute must if you visit the island !!! If you compare the quality and freshness along with the price it beats the Hut in Colwell Bay in every category hands down !!!We will talk about our experience for many months and can’t wait until we are back next year to experience it again !!! For me, the location is everything here. On a sunny day, there are few better places to enjoy a relaxed lunch. Unfortunately, there is little cover on a rainy day, especially if you have a dog with you as they are welcome on the uncovered lowest tier. The menu is small but has a very nice selection and what they do, they do well. Portions are both tasty and large. The seafood platter is huge, so ask for a big table. A vegetarian platter is available. The restaurant is set on 2 tiers with a bar on the upper 3rd tier. It's a shame the venue doesn't open in the evening, as I'd love to experience a summers evening there. Unfortunately, because of the location, The Beachut is not wheelchair accessible.

Over several years, we have seen The Beach Hut develop considerably from almost literally a hut to this gorgeous cafe/ restaurant with extended decking, creating an extra seating area. A beautiful setting tucked away overlooking the coast tastefully decorated with plenty of tables and seating.We happened to pass it whilst out walking and had to do a double take at the transformation. We just had to visit and had a lovely friendly welcome by the owners . As it was gin o'clock we were recommended to have a local gin from the island. We then enjoyed a relaxing time overlooking the lovely coastal view .
