A very nice and bicycle friendly cafe along the U.K. national cycle route no. 1. The interior is very interesting and you can put your bike inside. A must for bicyclists and everyone else!

Excellent coffee stop. Fantastic selection of cakes, brunch and lunch. Indoor parking for your bike, superb memorabilia on display with photos and frames, tshirts and more. If you are stopping in Beverley you must visit here. The fried egg buttie is a winner. See you on the road!

We've been in Cafe Velo twice and both times have had a warm welcome and very nice food. This time I had the club sandwich which was huge and had egg in it, which I've not had before in a club sandwich but which was great. Helen had the toasted tuna cheese melt and Oscar had ham and cheese toastie. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and it's all put together well. The owner seems to talk to a lot of the customers and cares that people have had a good experience. Price is reasonable. Little more than a greasy spoon but well worth it.

My husband and I found this gem of a cafe whilst wondering round Beverley town centre. It is a cycling themed cafe with pictures of cycling events on the walls. They have bike hooks on the wall so you don't have to leave your bike outside. The owner uses locally sourced produce, they have a varied menu at reasonable prices, the coffee which is also locally sourced is one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had.

The best cafe we found in 400 miles cycling from Devon to Yorkshire. We were made to feel really welcome, the coffee was good and strong, the breakfast was amazing and the cake portions were very generous. The owner was very chatty and helpful with recommendations for the local area. I wish we were local so we could come back!

We, and our two dogs, met up with friends for lunch. Good venue, excellent service and tasty food. Dogs very impressed by (shared) puppacino and (shared) sliced cooked sausage! The place was fairly quiet at that time of day but this made it an excellent location for a good catch-up over a delicious light meal. Highly recommended!

This was my second visit to cafe velo. I came back because I enjoyed it so much the first time. Really lovely, friendly staff and fast service. Coffee was AMAZING. Just had a slice of cake with it this time. Nabbed the sofa in the window and it was so comfy, I wasn't sure that I'd be able to get out again. I will definitely go back next time I'm in Beverley.

This café is easy to miss but rather special. I nearly missed it because it appears very small. You will find it opposite St Mary’s Church tucked into North Bar within. Don’t be deceived by appearances, it is quite roomy and I understand that there is a large cellar downstairs. I am no cyclist but I was taken by the ambience and the undoubted thought put into the design of the café. It is full of interesting cycling memorabilia, so the theme is obvious but it is attractive and oozes character. Our visit was brief but enjoyable. The service was efficient, welcoming and friendly. Full of cyclists, it is clearly a very popular location. The coffee was great and the brownie and caramel shortbread fine. There seems to be a lot of choice and vegetarians and vegans are catered for too. My daughter could leave her bike on the rack provided inside the café which was a bonus. We will certainly return and perhaps next try the breakfast which looks good. An independent café with charm that is well worth a visit by cyclists and non-cyclists alike.
