Absolutely spot on. I've lived in America for two years and have not been able to find proper authentic buffalo wings anywhere in the UK, but Bonehead have nailed it, gorgeous! Just like the ones you get in the USA...mmmmm
The burgers were delicious, a perfect balance between tasty soft bun (no rubbish factory bread, I'm assuming the buns are from Peel & Stone, another fantastic B'ham independant food business), crispy juicy FREE RANGE (yay!) chicken, subtle pickles and savoury garlic mayo. My husband had the hothead burger and loved the flavoursome spice/heat that was strong enough to satisfy his love of spice but not too strong to overwhelm the flavour of the burger.
The waffle fries were perfectly crisp and salty. We ate far too much but enjoyed every single bite. Can't wait to go again!
Loved this place, some great beers on tap, a couple of Montessori’s that was a NE IPA that was one delicious beer, will defo be revisiting the little gem. Five stars for me.
Omg this might be the best chicken burger I've ever had. The grungy atmosphere was perfect, the staff were lovely, and the food was genuinely life-changing. I'm definitely going to be coming back. The burgers taste almost nostalgic but completely levelled up from anything you've has before. My partner's a vegetarian and loved the cauliflower burger too, and you can do any toppings you want if you're not vegan friendly (though the vegan burger looked great too). So flavoursome and the batter was crunchy and lovely, totally recommend I'm definitely going back

Tasty, quality fried chicken with some heat/bite/kick. Great selection of juicy chicken and sauces all served in a hard rock, grungy setting. So all your senses will get a hit. Definitely a place for the discerning, someone appreciates quality fried chicken and wings with some spice.
My first time experience here was splendid.. although I had a train to catch, I took a quick detour into Birmingham to have dinner. This place was so good that it didn’t disappoint one bit.
The ambience was pretty cool and the music and the ambience were equally dap.
We had bonehead chicken burger and the buffalo soldier burgers along with some Nashville fries. All of them were made to the best of taste, presentation and flavour. The texture of the chicken made us question if it’s really chicken or something lab grown to excellency. The IPA I tried was blind eye and it was really good too.
I’d definitely recommend this place and I’ll visit it soon without rushing out.
I’ve eaten from Bonehead a fair few times now - both inside and on takeaway and each time is absolute perfection. I literally can’t explain how amazing this food is but if you’re in Brum it’s a must. I’ve tried pretty much everything they sell but the dragon burger is to die for!! This will always be my favourite place get food and I’ll recommend it to literally anyone who will listen to me bang on about it
Bonehead's fried chicken is basically exactly what you expect when you look up the dictionary definition of "Southern Fried Chicken". They fry fresh to order every single time, the result being that the chicken comes out still fingertip-burning hot with steam billowing from the supple juicy meat underneath the shatteringly crisp fried crust of a skin. You want beer and deep fried chicken, this is the institution to go to in Birmingham. Accept no substitutes!

I had a really good experience here, I came here for a friend's birthday and we were a group of 6, the staff were attentive and friendly, the food came out promptly and the drinks were great too, good selection on both food and drink and great vibes. The staff were also incredibly knowledgeable on the items on the menu, as we weren't particularly sure what certain things were but when we asked they could explain exactly what was what, will definitely be visiting again! Highly recommend
Ordered a takeaway via click and collect on the website (Bonehead don’t take phone order) it was very easy to use and there are pictures against the items so you know what you’re ordering. It was ordered for 1900, the restaurant looked quite busy but the food was still ready on time. The food was really tasty, bonehead chicken tenders were crispy and very juicy. I’d recommend the dragon sauce, I had dragon sauce wings and the flavours were amazing and the wings were cooked to perfection. I over ordered and had some Nashville fries too, they were very good but I was too full to eat them. Portion sizes were great the tenders and wings were big! Friendly staff, looks like a really good place to eat in. The combo meals are good value, I would have gone for one of those but I couldn’t make my mind up. The burgers in the restaurant looked amazing!
Quirky little fried chichen / craft beer bar. I was just there for the beer. Nice, varied, interesting, quality choice of 8 beers.i had a Deya.

Love the chicken strips and the buffalo burger was delicious . Fast service and the staff was friendly. The music is a little bit loud. But overall everything was perfect.
