Visited for Sunday roast and we both had the Pork. It was amazing. Lots of roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire pudding, roasted veg, greens. The apple sauce and stuffing was lush. It was a big size lunch and everything was very tasty and seasoned well. I had the homemade presecco and blueberry cheesecake, it was extremely yummy and a big portion. As you enter The Village the warm friendly atmosphere hits you immediately. Seated (big comfy seats too) straight away as we’d booked. Bottle of cold water waiting for us. They also have a little sweet shop pick n mix type. We travelled from Redditch to visit and it was totally worth it. Can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you Lee for the recommendations food wise. Will definitely be back soon.
Absolutely fabulous place, first time in today, definitely going back. Food was beautiful and the staff are so friendly. Highly recommend The Village to all.
Very impressed; top quality roast dinner in splendid surroundings. Friendly staff and good prices considering the quality. Would recommend.
Really good Sunday roast. Good value, friendly staff. Well appointed and tastefully decorated venue.
The wings and loaded tortillas were horrible. The beer was ok. Friendly staff. Wasn't very busy.
I have amended my review as I forgot to mention we were not charged for the wings and tortillas.
Lovely pub / restaurant had a drink and bar snacks. Warm friendly atmosphere
Lovely place to eat. Lovely ambience. Our waiter Paul was amazing. Such a sweet guy. Kudos to the chef. Lovely food.
Lovely food. I had the brisket burger, and it was actually hot. How many time do you go to a restaurant and the food comes out warm, and you think "how long has that been out on the side?". Not here, the food was hot, fresh and plentiful.
The pudding was equally cracking. The sticky toffee pudding, again, was hot, very filling and I couldn't finish it.
Staff were polite throughout and were happy to help and go the extra mile. Even asking about dietary requirements (and on that note there were clear options noted as being suitable for gluten free, vegan, and vegetarians).
Birmingham is a great city, woth lots of food places in the centre, but this restaurant that sits in Moseley is worth a visit.
Had the bottomless brunch here last Saturday. Good pricing, lovely setting, decent variety of drinks with the option to upgrade and friendly staff.
Will definitely be back soon!
A great place if you want to enjoy a good night with friends. Music is perfect, you can dance and drink, it has different ambients so it’s perfect if you want to dance in or out. It is located in the Gay Village.
Never judge a pub by its exterior. The Village is a case in point. It may look unimposing, open the door and prepared to be dazzled. I love the modern well-lit, spacious, high-ceiling interior.
The bar counter is central to this space, a seamless separator between the bar and restaurant. The restaurant is cozy. I love the comfy, cushioned booths that are spread around the interior.
Service is professional and caring. There timing of food delivery and questions was perfect.
The food selection maybe British, but has enough variation and breadth in ingredients to be interesting. I opted for a vegan selection: sweet potato croquette, jackfruit pizza and sweet potato shepherds pie. The croquettes were presented beautifully. The pizza was a textural showcase. The pie was hearty and flavoursome.
The Village is so cool and comfortable. It’s definitely recommend for any social occasion.
I had steak it was cooked to perfection but the star wars the peppercorn sauce absolutely divine
