This place is fantastic. The food is top class, impeccably clean & the staff are so friendly. Well worth a visit if you like Japanese food or want to try something new.
This place is amazing! You must try it. The staff and owners are lovely and welcoming and the food is delicious.
Fantastic Japanese food, in the unexpected location of Northfield! Lovely owner-operators, who are very nice and friendly. We’ll definitely visit again to try more dishes.
thought we'd try the Japanese restaurant in Northfield. unsure what to expect but it was absolutely amazing! the sushi was to die for and I couldn't believe the difference to the stale sushi I've had from supermarkets etc. the waitress / owner was wonderful and explained the menu to us.
it is not a cheap meal but it's definitely worth it - can't wait to go again or get a takeaway x
Delicious food, friendly staff, good value, best sushi in Birmingham, needs more promotion!
As a vegetarian it's nice to find local options. One such place is hee sushi, the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered a takeaway today and it went down a treat. We now booked them for a function, another review on that coming soon. Keep up the good work.
Excellent sushi! Best I've ever tried around Birmingham area. Amir and his wife are such lovely people, the food was prepared with love. Highly recommend spider roll! 5 STARS
Very good food! Sushi and non sushi options are very tasty and reasonably priced.
Very friendly staff with excellent service.
High standard of decoration.
Would definitely recommend.
A lovely restaurant, and a little of a surprise to find in Northfield. Excellent food and some great beer, I'd recommend it at the drop of a hat. The staff were great with our son, and made us all very welcome.
Short version: Go there. Now. You owe it to your tastebuds.
Surprised to hear a japanese restaurant had opened in Northfield of all places, and absolutely had to try. We were not disappointed. We had the Saba sashimi and salmon skin maki, which came intricately served on boat dishes - The salmon maki in particular providing intense bursts of flavour. We then sampled the ramen, which had generous toppings and that perfect bouncy noodle bite. A festival of flavours and textures, tempered with aesthetic presentation, guarentee that we shall be back - and often. Price wise, Hee is not in the cheapest end however the quality of food on offer more than justifies this, and the portions size is good - I just hope the area will be able to support it.
The restaurant itself offers intriguing decor featured wicker swallows' nests in the ceiling with eggs for lights, and origami crane lights on the wall, and the couple who run it came across extremely friendly and eager to make us feel at home.
At one point during our dinner, a mother and her young son were leaving - and the lady serving front of house was swift to help the young boy getting his coat on and buttoning it up for him, 'ere facing the bitter january winds outside. A small gesture, but touching nevertheless to see.
Incredible selection of food. Owner and staff very friendly. Hope it lasts, as it's a bit too nice for the area.
Food was lovely fresh and hot chicken katsu was amazing the owner was super friendly. Clean and modern restaurant will eat there again
