Great service, breakfast excellent, all round have to give 12/10.
Food was good for airport standard although not the freshest i jave eaten. Table service, however, was very fast and using the moblie app made the whole ordering process simple, quick, and easy.
I ordered the Ramen Noodles and Grilled Chicken Salad with extra chicken which I have uploaded photographs of.
Considering how busy this place was, I was pleased with how fast the service was.
We didn't eat here as we had a later flight and had already eaten. But we ordered drinks from the app and within minutes they were with us. Friendly staff even when the place was packed and cases, buggies and people were everywhere.
Ate breakfast here a few times now and it's okay. Not amazing but for an airport this is good. If like me you remember what departure lounges were like in the late 90s this is okay. Last visit we ordered at the bar and food came quick. It's a bottomless mug for coffee and tbh me and my the misses shared one and no one cared so win win. If only we'd spotted our plane was delayed 2hrs before we'd left that area..
I had the pleasure of stopping by Wetherspoons at Birmingham Airport, and I was really impressed. The Full English breakfast was delicious, and the service was quick and efficient. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal before their flight. The prices were also very reasonable. All-in-all, I had a great experience and will definitely be back the next time I'm at the airport.
Service was very good with polite and attentive staff. The fish and chips were nice and hot but very dry.
Just another Spoons? Well maybe. The food and the drinks are a similar standard but the prices are inflated as expected due to its location in Departures of a major airport. As with any hospitality venue, the staff are what makes the real difference. I'm eventually getting with the times and rather than approach the bar, I used the Wetherspoons app, which is actually very easy to navigate. My issue with this in the past has been the waiting time to receive your order, Not on this occasion. We had a few drinks so were served by different staff members, all as pleasant as each other. However a special mention goes to Hadiqa (hope that's the correct spelling), my wife had gone for a little retail therapy and left me guarding the bags with instructions to get her a coffee. Hadiqa arrived with my beer and a cup for the coffee which is self service at the other side of the bar. Seeing my predicament, that I was on my own with bags to mind, she very kindly offered to get my wife's coffee for me. I attempted to tip her for her kindness and she refused this, stating with a great big smile, "I am only doing my job". I insisted that I would like to thank her with a couple of quid but she flatly refused. Absolute gem of a staff member and an absolute credit to Wetherspoons.
Our favourite place to grab some food and drinks before boarding a flight to go abroad
The most popular air-side venue in Birmingham Airport. Prices are higher than high street Wetherspoons venues, but otherwise, everything is familiar. Be prepared to wait for a table to come free, and I recommend placing your orders via the Wetherspoon App as App Service is often quicker than bar service.
Pleasant place to spend a few hours waiting. Unfortunately you will be paying airport prices. But my food arrived surprisingly fast within 10 -12mins.
