I was really impressed. The staff were all excellent (check in and restaurant). The room was nice, slightly tired but with modern bathroom. The food in the restaurant was really good. Wifi was good (except in bar area). Plenty of parking. Definitely would use again.

Oct '19 Have used this venue several times for corporate & family events and its always been a pleasant experience. The location is surprisingly nice considering it is in the middle of such a large urban combination & the views across the lake & open spaces are very pleasant. The health club on it's own little island with adjoining bridges looks very nice indeed. The staff are always very professional, friendly & helpful. I look forward to my next stay!

I came here with my son as a last minute emergency. I chose this hotel as for the price it came with best facilities such as the swimming pool. I had previously stayed at a hotel the day before and I can honestly say this hotels swimming pool and facilities were 100 x cleaner and better. I ran into a few problems with the room at first as I did not like the one I was put in. When I went to the reception a guy called Mohammed was there. I can honestly say he saved my day. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and I can honestly say he has been the best service I come across. I also witnessed him with a guest in front who was having a moan but seemed intoxicated and he managed to calm her down and she seemed happy in the end. Any problems I had he was happy to fix efficiently he was very very understanding and co operative. Reading the reviews I agree that some of the rooms are dated but I seen a few and they all seemed clean from what I seen. My advice will be upgrade if you can as the rooms are very nice for a little extra money. The grounds are beautiful and staff are very good. I would stay here again due to the service of the staff I would just upgrade my room to the exec or suite

Me and my partner stopped here for a friend's wedding. The room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view. It was a little dated and needed some upkeep (wallpaper was ripped on one wall and a couple of tiles had been gaffer taped rather than repaired). Bedding was clean, had a TV, water, coffee making facilities. Walking around the grounds was lovely and relaxing. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was a little tricky to find as the hotel is big but the layout was like a maze!<br/>The room where the wedding reception was held had been decorated beautifully. Again, clean, bright and the food supplied was tasty. Prices were dear at the bar (one pint and gin with lemonade - £10).

On arrival, we had a friendly, warm welcome from Luke on the reception desk and we were checked into a lovely room - room 2 - which was the perfect setting for enjoying our drinks outside in the garden/patio area. The glorious Easter sun was most welcome! We received an attentive, super professional service from The Food and Beverage Manager, Sam. Dinner and breakfast were plentiful and delicious. Thank you so much! We also enjoyed the facilities and made the most of the gym, sauna, steam room and pool. Could not fault our stay in any way. We will definitely be back. Thank you all!

The reviews are all very harsh. I think I must have stayed in the renovated section. Pleasant stay, great and plentiful breakfast and no issues with cleanliness at all. Great to have free access to the gym and pool facilities. Friendly staff, especially at Breakfast! Would stay here again.

Room was clean and functional but the whole place is in need of a bit of a refurb to be honest. A few too many carpets held together with duct tape and wobbly tiles on the bathroom floor. However, having stayed in many of these types of establishments for business, the setting is lovely! I can't hear any traffic, there is a small lake outside my window and I've slept every night with the window open without any distracting noise. Given the location I'd say that's a bonus and I've enjoyed my few days here. Swimming pool and sauna both closed for maintenance during my stay, May 2018.

Went for afternoon tea with friends. Warm friendly staff at reception and the bar. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely fresh sandwiches and choice of cakes. Freshest scones we have had for a long time and excellent pot of tea. Well done.

I fined myself struggling to write this review, because this hotel does all things you expect from a hotel and what you expect from a room, it had four walls a ceiling and even a little bathroom, also a bed. The room was an executive suit but I wasn't blown away by the size or quality of the room for paying that bit more. The room needed some maintenance and had some ruff edges like brown tape on the window to stop a draft, or a new rubber along the shower screen to stop the water from running over onto the floor. It was nice to stop for one night, we was greeted and then given long directions to the room "go up the stairs here then turn left walk forward till you pass room 101 then take a right at the double doors but don't go through them, look to your right at a wardrobe, go through to Narnia, go passed the ice place and then take a long swim back to England and your room will be the third door passed the fourth" yes we got lost, but the view from the room was nice, not over looked or looking out into a road. Breakfast at extra cost wasn't happy about, would have thought it would come with the room for the price.

Had afternoon tea and use of leisure facilities, found quite a few bits of gym equipment out of order and a few lockers and hair dryers in the ladies changing rooms, pool fairly small but good enough sauna and steam room good and jacuzzi is operated by a button. Afternoon tea was lovely, they met our dietary requirements no problem and service was great, staff very friendly and would recommend
