Choice of beer is very limited, there's no food (except great nuts and scratchings), and the decor is crazy. But that's exactly what I love about the sportsman - it's simple and quirky! It's always a pleasure to go there for a quiet beer, and with a massive garden it's one of the best pubs in Birmingham to enjoy a cooling summer pint.
