This one of our favorite ice cream stops. Ice cream is always good, service is great. If you are into cars, pull up a chair, they cruise past this spot every weekend.

We were in Detroit for the first time for a funeral. It was on the second day of our trip when I realized that we were near the famous Woodward Avenue! As a gearhead, this made me pretty excited. Due to family obligations we did not get a chance to head out to Woodward until after 9:30 on a Wednesday in June. We knew that we wanted some icecream and Dairy Deluxe was the first place that we saw and it was open with a crowd out front at 10PM! There were several cool cars out front and on the side street. I got a swirl cone with chopped nuts and my girlfriend got a chocolate cherry dipped cone. The icecream was perfect and the atmosphere was amazing! It was so cool to watch cars go by and enjoy a treat. I would love to be here on a Saturday! I guess that we will have to come back some day. Will definitely need to stop by Dairy Deluxe when we do!
TL:DR - Come for the icecream, stay and enjoy the atmosphere. Oh, and bring cash!

Simply the best ice cream ever. This place has so many options on the menu it’s impossible to know what to choose. Fortunately we visited several times while we were in town so I feel I didn’t miss out on anything. Friendly and super quick service and also a good spot to see some cool cars outside!

Tons of options! Ice cream, sundaes, slushes, shakes, whatever your heart desires. Service is very quick and this place is usually always busy. Very popular with the locals. Open Feb to Nov. THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY.
