What a meal! Simply stunning food. The Church should be sold out every day such is the quality of the food here, I can't believe it wasn't busier. Everything we had was superb, but the beef Sunday roast was one of the best I've had in a restaurant in a long time. We were very greedy and shared three starters too, which were all delicious but probably a bit too much food in total for just the two of us. Nevermind, nothing went to waste! My only criticism was the toasted sourdough was a bit crispy, and I'd have loved the scotch egg to have a runny yolk. But these are minor points in an otherwise perfect meal with faultless service from the great staff.

We celebrated our engagement party here in October and really could not fault The Church one bit. From the moment we asked to view the ‘dining room’, your team was incredibly welcoming, friendly and responsive - answering all our (many!) questions and offering support where needed with the menu. The stresses of the day (decorating etc.) were hugely alleviated by you accommodating us; letting us in earlier to decorate and offering your help when needed. As for the party itself, it was also great. It was a nice surprise learning that the cocktails were 2-4-1 at the start of the night. And even though the cocktails had to be made (and ordered) in the main pub, our bartender took our orders in the dining room and brought over our cocktails, which was a lovely touch. The food was delicious and we had our guests saying how nice the food was. The beers were also great, and was a reasonable price. The Church held our decorations and took us no more than 5 minutes to collect the next day. Everybody, including ourselves had a great time in all respects. Would definitely recommend these for a function - or a casual visit - as the food, drinks and service were all amazing.

We were gifted the wine and cheese flight at the church pub. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The place is super cozy with lovely outdoor terrace seating.

Great pub with friendly people serving a good selection of drinks including ales. The food is excellent - it's a limited menu but what they serve up is top notch. The fish and chips was excellent - the chips are the best I've had in any restaurant. The lamb was melt in the mouth. The interior is lovely and there's a great roof terrace as well. Brilliant place.

Amazing food and drinks selection! Been here a few times and every time it’s great experience. Staff always lovely, food is amazing. One of the best roasts I ever tried! They also have a roof terrace!

Unbelievably good food and service! We ate here 2 nights in a row and how this place is not fully booked for months is beyond me. The food was so so so good, the drinks just as good and the service was friendly, attentive and beyond our expectations. The only minus, was that the pub was quite cold. We would have stayed much longer if we had not been so cold.

Fantastic food and atmosphere, probably one of the best value for money roasts in the JQ. Service was a little hit-and-miss, but as the Tiger Bites Pig/Tierra/Trentina team have only recently taken over, it will definitely improve!

Food tasted very good, would have loved some extra roast potatoes. Minor improvement I would suggest is tables need candles in my opinion.

“Take me to Church!” The Church is not a place of worship, it’s a pub and a bloody good one at that. Walk in and immediately you are surrounded by a piece of Birmingham history. The pub formula is evident, small wooden stools upholstered in a tartan mix adorn well used tables that sit the perfect distance from the window side benches. The gently rounded bar area is at the perfect height to rest the elbows. The glazed windows let a mass of light into the open communal area giving the perfect level of privacy. I was attracted to this establishment because of rave reviews of its pizzas. While they won’t kick Baked in Brick out of bed for taste. They are quality and are delivered piping hot with fresh and perky ingredients. What I loved was the attention to detail; pizzas are served with a pizza slicer, allowing the admirer to elegantly cut slices to meet their portion-ary requirements. It’s easy to draw your attentions away from the food and admire the interior. The eclectic cues are evident in every corner. This place is a photographers dream. Retro here, questionable artistic licensed inanimate object there. What the hell a glitter ball was doing above our heads. I guess you have to be here at the dying hours on a weekend. A brilliant Birmingham pub food experience. I loved its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Food was brilliant value. I just wish it was closer to the centre. Hah, anyway, we could all do with an extra few steps on the Step-o-meter app.
