Mandarin Cuisine

This restaurant has been trying to scam people for the last two years during the pandemic by selling local flavor certificates that are “dine in only” and keeping the restaurant closed for indoor dining making the certificates useless. However, Legally the certificate holds it’s value for whatever you paid for 5 years from the purchase date. For example you pay $10 for a $20 certificate which expires in 6 months after that the $10 you originally paid is still valid for the next 4.5 years. Don’t let this greedy store try to take advantage of you. Dine in and when the bill comes show the certificate and if they refuse subtract $10 from the bill, pay with cash and refuse to pay any more. If they keep refusing and arguing suggest will call the police!

I ordered sushi and they gave me a smear of wasabi. Very cheap. Food wasn't fresh. The past 10 yrs their food went down hill. Anything to save a buck I guess. When they 1st opened the food was great. Now it's lousy and they stingy with their food. I try to give this place chances because before I enjoyed their food but now, it's a big let down. It's shame. Bring back the old chief!

Back in March we purchased a certificate for Mandarin Cuisine from LocalFlavor.com. The certificate specifies dine-in only, but this place still hasn't opened for dine-in and they refuse to let us use the coupon for take out. When I called LocalFlavor for a refund, they stated that a refund could only be issued within two weeks of purchase. So I have a certificate that I bought more than 7 months ago that I can't use because of the owner's incredibly poor customer service and we can't get a refund. We always went to Mandarin Cuisine because the food was acceptable and the location was convenient, but after this virus situation is over we will never go to this restaurant again. They lost two loyal customers because they want to play hard ball over a $15 coupon.
