Stayed in Stow on Wold during August 2020, and we went for dinner at this fish and chip place on our first night in the area. Lots of restaurants had closed early or had no bookings at the time. We found this place where the staff were really friendly, and their menu was both gluten and halal friendly which was a bonus. Portions were great, and value for money - can't go wrong with a fish and chips at this place. Would have no problem is recommending this place and would visit again.

A small family run restaurant serving fish and chips and burgers. I had a veggie burger which was very good. Excellent prices and it was great they also had beers and ciders in the fridge. Very friendly and polite staff, what more could you ask for.

This was my first visit to this fast food takeaway. The service was excellent and all the food (chips, cod in batter and sausage in batter) were cooked fresh to order. The batter was light and crispy and the chips were of a generous portion and well seasoned. Overall this was great service and food. Some of the other takeaways in Bourton on the water could learn a thing or two around availability and service.

It is a family run business, the advice I would give is to ring ahead otherwise you may be waiting. They do not cook in beef fat either which is great for the veggie in the family. Keep the small businesses going, and use this one.

Really nice Haddock and chips all cooked in a separate fryer . Only complaint I had was far too many chips , but hey.

Lovely fresh food ( be prepared to wait)- thoroughly enjoyed them. Don't be put off by the less than glamorous shop - all clean and delicious.

Food was plentiful, flavoursome and decently priced.
Lady behind counter saw I we needed extra forks n sauce and brought them over, Its the little things that make a difference!

Made a large order for about 30 people. They were very receptive to an advance order and on the day the food was excellent and ready at the agreed time.

I don't know why so many haters of this place . we Had great food and friendly service. Food cooked to order, so nice and fresh. Okay if you eat in...we didn't there's a charge of 50p each but your charged more than that at Costa Coffee by far to eat in. Recommended
