Nice local pub. However, too many customers sat around the bar blocking service. Also, it's not a pub if you don't like dogs. Good choice of beers and wines.

The George is a great traditional British pub with a variety of beers and ales. My wife and I frequent this establishment to watch football every weekend, it has a lovely atmosphere, the staff are warm and friendly. Lou the landlady can not do enough for the costumers and their 4 legged friends, it has a great play area for kids. I highly recommend a visit.

We came in for a 50th birthday. Table service was efficient and friendly - a special shout out to Ella who was lovely.
Most of the party ordered rib eye steak. Ella then brought out peppercorn sauce (which we hadn't ordered) as the chef said you can't have steak without peppercorn sauce so I whipped some up for you. What more can I say?
Thank you for a lovely meal, perfectly cooked steaks and very reasonable.

The Staff couldn't do enough for us! Great food good portions! Nice atmosphere! Met the chef who came out to say hello after we praised his lovely dinner! All 8 of us really enjoyed ourselfs and will definetley be returning! Thank you!! X

A welcoming pub. Landlady Lucy is fun, super friendly and always helpful.
We had our daughters 10th birthday party at the George with 11 kids. They had an amazing time and the waitress service was great.

First time visit for me. My daughter and granddaughter have been before today. Great food, great price, enjoyed and appreciated even more seeing the poor chef suffer in the heat, thank you. Bar staff lovely, young girl so polite and courteous, thank you. Will come again.
