Bruegger's Bagels

I have been a loyal customer to this store for years. They are very busy and I always go out of my way to tip them extra because they are working so hard. Today they had a new person building my order and she seemed to get no help from the veteran associates while I was holding my 1yr old in hand. They said you “need to wait for the eggs to cook, Boss”. The tall gentlemen who said that is typically very nice, but he had an aggressive tone and look on his face when he said it and I called him out on it. His shorter coworker gentlemen backed him up and acted like I was being irrational. Either way, it was terrible customer service and made me feel like I needed to leave immediately. The tall gentlemen also said “have a good day, Boss” before I thought about leaving. Beyond this terrible incident with a long time loyal customer, the use of addressing someone as “boss” can be offensive an belittling. After several years of loyalty, I will never come back due to how awful they made me feel while holding my 1 year old.

Food was okay. Service was pretty unprofessional. One of the people working came back in from smoking a cigarette and even though he was just ringing me up and not making anything, he didn’t wash his hands before beginning work again. And then my bagel sandwich fell apart in the bag when I was trying to get it out. Just super annoying. Had not been there in years and I don’t plan on going out of my way to go again.

To sum it up shorty, it was absolute horrible and would not recommend to anyone. The online ordering was easy. The order pick up was easy. The issue was the food. The egg was over cooked and the wrong colors as well as over seasoned. The bagel was typical nothing different from a grocery store bagel.
