We've had this place on our radar to try their Sunday Lunch for at least four years. Finally received an invitation 👌.
Certainly ticked all my boxes. Excellent service and an equally excellent choice of meals on offer. I had the pork belly, which was simply mouth wateringly good. Finished off my other half's beef, so I can vouch for that as well. The only negative was being too stuffed to try a pudding. 😉
A proper locals' local.
I was lucky enough to have dinner here one night along with a selection of ales to wash it down.
After a few got chatting with the regulars and what a lovely bunch of people. The owner of this place is a true gent and has pulled together a great team to deliver a good old fashioned English boozer.
Food is outstanding and very well priced.
Lovely experience here. I enjoyed some food and a drink while waiting for the train. Nice hidden gem with fresh food too and plenty of drinks also to choose from.
All reasonably priced also, and offer specials on the day.
Lovely owners and people who work there, there's a lot more space inside and a good amount of seating area. You can also sit outside, which is nice, especially with this current weather.
I will be back here again!

1st time in The Station Hotel, waiting for my son to finish college to toast his 18th! Perfect, nice welcome, good feeling when I walked in, with my father to toast his grandson. It was early afternoon so the bar wasn't very busy, yet everyone gave a cheer and wished my son the best. A nice pub! And looking forward to popping in again.
A hidden gem.
We live near the Statio Hotel Pub and have often wondered what the food is like. Today we decided to book for the Sunday roast.
There was four of us and our baby boy in a pram. The service was really good from the moment we called to book and throughout our meal. Very family friendly.
The food was incredible. Without a doubt one of the best roasts I've had in Brighton and Hove. We also had starters and dessert and everything, from the sauces to the actual items on the plates, we're just perfection.
Undoubtedly a hidden gem in the city and one we look forward to visiting again very soon.
The are a fair few dire pubs north of Brighton centre, very happily The Station Hotel bucks the local trend, warm staff, welcoming punters, terrific food and a general good vibe. A short menu highlights pub favourites and the thick slab of sirloin was cooked well. We took it with a bottle of Rioja, I would have liked a reserva instead of the offered crianza but am nitpicking now. I'll definitely be back to try the Sunday roast!
My Sunday lunch of pork belly was delicious and plentiful. My husband ordered the fish and chips which really just OK and disappointing portions.
I have to say what a lovely old pub, with amazing polite helpful staff, and the most amazing food, just fantastic and faultless. This is one of the top 5 roast dinners I’ve ever tasted. Thank you for a great afternoon, we’d highly recommend this place to everyone.
Truly lovely food. No wonder people rave about it. Staff couldn't do enough for us. So kind and friendly.
Another delicious meal at the Station Hotel pub. I had steak and chips -cooked to perfection and my husband had Belly of pork which he said was superb. Lovely friendly atmosphere and great service. We will be back!
