We had a great evening at Wahaca celebrating a birthday. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great despite being early on a Friday night, the environmental and sustainability credentials are brilliant and, as a vegan, I was beyond impressed at how well I was catered for (with a separate vegan menu available and excellent knowledge about the ingredients and menu items from the waiter). Our waiter Fadi was brilliant- very friendly, very knowledgable and helpful, and even went so far as to arrange a celebratory drink and singsong for the birthday girl- thank you! All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will definitely come again!
My husband and I stumbled across Wahaca in Brighton and thought we'd give it a go. We'd never eaten in a Wahaca restaurant before and we were not disappointed. The service we recieved from our waiter Fadi was exceptional and the food and cocktails were tip top. We've already planned another visit to Wahaca in London for a birthday celebration. We are looking forward to sampling some different food and cocktails off the menu! :)
Nice spot for Mexican food! Loved the food. The portion size and good and so is the taste.
Many options to chose from in the menu.
Drinks are great too. Service was nice and host was lovely.
However make sure you book the table in advance as it gets busy.
Loved the fact that they serve unlimited chips with your guacamole 🥑
I want to start out by giving the staff they was working the 3rd of August a massive shout-out! The top 3 best service I've ever had!
The food was great! I usually order burrito when I can, because I love burritos, and it was fantastic, as well as all the other items we had.
The place was really clean (that includes the restrooms).
One point! I hate coriander, there was no mention of coriander on the menu (that I noticed), this nasty soap tasting spice ruins everything it touches and it was on everything. Had it not been for my surgical precision picking it out I would have had a very different experience.
Great food, nice vibes. Took my mum here as she loves tacos and we both loved it. Our server Fran was brill, really friendly and not too intrusive. The servings are quite small so we had 4 different types of tacos between us and one side which was a good amount. Both the alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails were tasty and refreshing, especially the hibiscus margarita. The margarita pie dessert was also really tasty and actually couldn't taste the tequila so it wasn't boozy at all. You can also pay by scanning your table's QR code, you can also split the bill that way too so it's really convenient.
Mexican street food is lovely, we were served by Chris who was funny and explained the food options well. Guac and chips was very tasty as a starter option. I would recommend two of the street food menu as they are quite filling. The decor of the restaurant is pretty and they have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a separate vegan menu which has lots of options on it including pudding
Really great service and great food.
Would recommend highly :)
Recommend the burrito!
Enjoyed the wahacmole too! With unlimited tortillas so we got the salsa dips to utilise our unlimited chips!
We had the best service from staff today. So busy and hot for them, however they were all smiles, polite and attentive. The cocktail I had was sublime and food beyond delicious. 😋 Great team at Brighton. Very grateful, special thanks to Tom, Sarah and Kiki. From Dean and Sharlan. We will be back soon.
Plus: food, service, atmosphere are all really wonderful. Especially Alice, who was a sweetie.
Only two points to consider:
1) I booked a table for 8PM and wanted to change my reservation to 7PM. I called to change, and the guy who answered the phone was rather impatient and didn't really change the reservation. Almost made me want to cancel.
2) If you do the math, the set menus save you between 10p and 80p. While the offerings of the set menu are wonderful, the food comes out very fast. So if you're there with 2-4 people, it's better to order everything individually and not have your table crowded with food (which sits and gets cold). The set menu might work better for larger parties though.
Hi! I had a pleasant opportunity for the first time trying out Mexican food in the UK for my 2 th anniversary. I absolutely loved the staff's friendliness and the atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic to one chef to another!. Well done! As well the cleanliness!. Thank you for the polite and friendly service!. Keep up the good work especially the staff and chef who were serving us at 23-4-22 at 6 pm. I would recommend anyone to spice up their life and try new things and that restaurant in my opinion as a chef is more than the first step forward! Compliment to the chef that made my evening 10 times better than it already was!
Good value, quick and friendly service. It was a little odd how things came out of the kitchen seemingly at random, but all items were great.
This is a great place for groups. They have big plates, small plates, vegan, vegetarian, gluten free... basically something for everyone.
The location is right next to the pavilion as well which is cool. I've been here few times. They are always nice. Food is always good.
