Hearty vegan cooked breakfasts (vegetarian too). Lunches, dinner. Only place I go for a cooked vegan breakfast treat.
The owner, staff and cooks are wonderful. Their homemade lemon drizzle is dreamy! First time I've ever had lemon drizzle cake. Well worth the money. I always tip them... :0)
The Almond Tree has an open kitchen - so you know you're getting superb cooked food from a spotless clean kitchen and environment.
Coffee could be stronger - but if you don't ask, you don't get. I do like *ridiculously* strong coffee - so I'm very, very hard to please.
It used to be far more of a challenge finding little gems like The Almond Tree once upon a time - 20 odd years ago in Brighton, when I chose a vegan lifestyle for myself.

I had the vegetarian, gluten free option breakfast. It's so great when staff are knowledgeable about and cater for food allergies. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was fresh and delicious.

Small place but cozy. You have outside seats and in winter time, you get some blankets to keep you warm.

I love the coffee from this shop. The staff are always so friendly and I love to sit outside and watch the world go by while enjoying an iced coffee.
Tried the food for the first time today, had a vg chicken club sandwich and I was quite disappointed. I love veggie food usually but something about this tasted a little weird. But the bread, the avocado and the lettuce was fresh and lovely. Just not a fan of the veggie chicken.
I can't wait to try more of their food to see what it's like!

You can tell a lot of effort has been put into the dishes. Both the mushroom and avocado bread were very tasty.

Lovely little vegan/veggie cafe offering a huge range of thick cut bread sandwich options, pittas, salads, and soup of the day. Drinks include the usual teas and coffees with iced options and vegan milks plus various fruit and canned drinks. Outside and inside seating. Dog friendly. Lovely staff. Loyalty card on offer too.
Really enjoyed lunch here. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The veg food was top drawer, the kind where you're not thinking "this is ok for a vegetarian substitute" and just thinking "this is delicious". Good value too, £40 for four of us including coffees. Will be coming back :)
A vegan cafe on a high street with a great range of delicious breakfast dishes and good coffees. With a limited amount of seating inside and out. The cakes looked amazing but we were full up on breakfast so didn't get to try any. Service was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. Very much worth a visit and I'm not vegan!
Super friendly staff, delicious food (I couldn't believe it was vegan)!! Especially tasty gluten free bread too. Lovely to sit outside in the sun. Great prices, eveything was so reasonable. We don't normally choose meat-free cafes but it was a lovely change, thanks!
