Lovely local pub since it reopened.Have lived just a few doors from this pub for almost 40 years and never really liked it much before but can now say that it is the best it’s ever been.Currently only get chance for a couple of beers on a Friday afternoon as I am a full time carer for my elderly father and can’t leave him alone very long, especially evenings, but look forward to my Friday couple of pints here.A friend joins me when they are not working.Friendly staff, great atmosphere, lovely beer garden.Good selection of beers and love the Inch’s cider! Have yet to try the burgers but have heard they are excellent.Would definitely be in more often if I was able to.

It’s odd that I’ve only given the food here four stars and everything else five stars, because the food was outstanding. I had the Jerk Chicken burger and it was amazing, so many flavours going on. My wife’s vegan burger was great as well, it would be good for the burgers to be vegetarian as an option. My wife is veggie not vegan, she doesn’t want to have vegan mayo and cheeeeze. So why four stars? Simple, the accompanying fries were cold. Loved the atmosphere in the pub, staff were friendly and helpful. No real ales available which was disappointing and I think there could be better transparency on beer prices. Nearly thirteen quid for two pints ( one being Kronenburg) came as a bit of a shock. We will definitely be back and I will make sure I request hot fries.

This pub is away from the hustle and bustle of the city and caters for the local residents. The beer is reasonably priced and pizzas are on offer during the week. On sundays during the winter there are a variety of roasts available and in the summer months there is a barbacue in the garden. All Sky sports are on the big screen and a smaller large screen tv is at the other end of the bar. The staff are helpful and friendly and no I neither work there or have any connection to the management .It is my local.

Moyos food is actually incredible I can’t fault it all, NEVER had a bad meal with them. Service from the staff is always amazing and they’re so friendly, such a good selection of drinks, one of my favourite pubs!

I'll have moyo that! Burgers were juicy and delicious especially the jerk chicken burger; the plantain bites may very well become my new food addiction... Was nice to see chips come with burgers as a standard too! Staff are lovely and the pub looks great, good to see the Islingword open again :D i could have done with more pickles in my burger BUT i have eaten nearly a whole jar of pickles a couple of times so I might be biased. We will be back!!!

Staff are very friendly and polite. The food is unbelievable. The best burgers I’ve ever had and I’ve tried a few from the menu. Lovely garden, dog and child friendly. I highly recommend this pub.

Great pub, the beer is good but the food is incredible. The burgers are head and shoulders above any others in Brighton, and the kids meal is the best £6 you'll ever spend on your children!

Brighton has a new (old) pub, and what a pub. I wasn’t around for the pre-reopening but it’s beautiful. Cracking interior and large beer garden. Minus a point for, in my opinion, limited beer selection. Laine Brews plus rotating guests. Hoping for some better cask and more interesting keg/can/bottle soon.
