Visited The George when visiting my family last weekend. Excellent attentive service from staff, good atmosphere and an excellent choice of menu. Wine list was excellent and we sampled white, red and a bottle of Moët-as it was a celebration for my daughter’s birthday.
Even if you are not a pudding fan try to get some one to order the “chocolate bomb” My grandson ordered one and even videod it. Fun to watch. Our waitress was happy to order us a taxi home. An excellent night enjoyed by everyone from ages of 76-11

Went for lunch yesterday and sat outside as the sun was out and we had the kiddies and bikes!
The food and staff were both fantastic. They were so lovely with the kids and couldn't do enough for us.
Very nice premium pub. Lovely decoration, good atmosphere, very nice food and great staff. I recommend Chocolate bomb and Baileys latte. It was delicious...
Wow. This pub has been completely transformed. The south African manager who has taken it over has done wonders. The food is gorgeous, really 5 *. The service is excellent, another manager with his finger on the pulse, his team are attentive and informative. Sunday lunches, evening three course meals whatever you have you won't be dissapointed, wine list excellent too, clean, really nice furniture, really like the fake furs draped on chairs on the left as you walk in, I always want to sit there! Children welcome too so 10 out of 10. Living between Hayes and Keston I am now really spoilt, the food at the George is superior to The Fox though however much I love The Fox.
Lovely pub, quick friendly service. Just had drinks but menu looks and smells good, albeit a bit gastro
Booked a table after a trip to London as we preferred to eat locally .
Service was excellent, friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
Food again excellent despite our firs choice of Dover sole was sold out but the bass was very good as an alternative.
Overall a great experience as always and I would not hesitate to recommend The George to anyone.
My husband and I had our wedding receiption with you guys and it was absolutely fantastic. All the staff were wonderful, friendly and so helpful! The food was amazing and all the guests enjoyed it. It was really well organised and we had such a brilliant time! Would definitely recommend
Lovely lunch today in the restaurant. Excellent fish and chips and delicious desserts . The restaurant and bar area is kept so nice and clean by the very helpful staff. A special thanks to Vinnie our lovely waiter.

Lovely place, really well looked after and had some really nice furnishings. Although children are allowed, I wouldn't consider it 'Kid-friendly'. Staff do give awkward death glances and stares at those kids that dare to have fun 😀 food was fantastic quality however the chips are for 1 although they say it feeds 2
WOW!
My first beer (Guinness of course) and meal in an English pub in the UK. It was exceptional - beer was poured correctly (never take that for granted), meal was excellent with great presentation (think of sprig of rosemary with bangers and mash) and excellent staff (friendly, attentive, smiled and looked you in the eye when talking). Decor was spot on and sympathetic to the town the pub was it.
Can't wait to get back there tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, and ...
We had a lovely meal with friends on a Monday evening. The food was good, especially the garlic and mozzarella pizza starter and the fish and chips were light and not greasy. Cocktails were great. The server, John was so helpful and pleasant and very attentive - he did a great job.

We came for a Sunday lunch with family and friends.
Pub looks great from outside, well looked after and inviting.
Outside seats could be wiped dry as they were all wet, so if someone wanted to sit outside, it would be a problem. (It was sunny on the day, but raining the night before)
Inside looks beautiful, very stylish, clean and inviting. Nice selection of wines on the wall, as well as well equipped bar.
Team was very attentive from the very beginning, always to hand, helpful and knowledgeable. Really nice first impression.
However food brought the whole experience down.
We’ve ordered selection of Sunday roasts and macaroni cheese on the side.
Firstly, all our macaroni cheese was almost cold, so that wasn’t good start already.
Sunday roast looked nice, but I would expect slightly more for the price. Beef roast came with two thin slices of beef, one carrot and one parsley with couple of roasted potatoes. Beef was tender so I can’t complain, but the highlight of the dish was gravy and pudding.
I’ve ordered trio of roasts and must say was disappointed, pork belly looked almost like an overcooked slice of bacon, chicken leg was small and dry and one very thin slice of beef. A bit disappointed with Sunday roast. Good quality overall but based on very good experience from the service and the ambience, food scores the lowest.
Desserts were decent, but again, missing the mark. Deconstructed cheesecake, I would have preferred a nice slice of tasty, beautifully presented cheesecake but received 3 roughly shaped balls with dusting of crumble on the plate. Brownie was too soft, more like a cake/mousse.
We did enjoy the stay, as ambience and service was great, but food needs to improve for us to come back regularly
Relaxing atmosphere, recently refurbished. Friendly staff great food and value for money.
To our delight, we came across The George on a shopping trip back from Bromley & we're glad we did. We stopped off for a drink at first & today we went back to have lunch. Lovely ambiance, great setting, staff friendly & helpful. As for the food, it was absolutely beautiful, tasty & the presentation was amazing. Lovely post pub in Hayes. It’s a gastro pub so prices reflect the food.
We went as a group of 7 and ordered off the couples meal two mains for £22 each and a bottle of wine included
You really have to look at small print as if you order the scallops it’s an extra £3 on top and steak extra £6 quite expensive.
The food tasted really yummy and was cooked nicely especially the steak. The triple cooked chips were amazing!
We got served rather quick and food came in a reasonable amount of time
