Huffkins

A lovely Huffkins, came here on a Thursday morning and was completely empty, staff were efficient and attentive. Food was the reason it’s not five star, though we were the first customers of the day a lot of the food tasted stale and dry. I’m not sure if they gave us leftovers from the previous day or if the food was just low quality. It tasted fine and was a nice little morning treat and I know that usually their breakfasts are fabulous so highly recommend.

Recommend. Food: 9/10. We had an afternoon for two people. Everything was good and tasty, from the sandwiches to the scones to the pastries (which by the way, stay fresh for two days, just fyi). We had four pastries, victorian sponge, a brownie, a brioche bread with mustard in it and one more, and all of them were delicious! Scones were good. The sandwiches were of three types. Once with a sweet spread with cheese and lettuce (10/10), one with coronation sauce chicken (5/10), and a classic tuna sandwich (unimpressed, it was very average, but i'm being picky lol) The tea was also good, but i would have preferred/expected loose leaf tea and not bagged tea. Service: 10/10. Super lovely and friendly Location: 8/10. Nice setting and it's on the main road of the town, you can park you car, take a walk and stop for a bite.

Bopped in for breakfast and was a little disappointed they never had a full breakfast so went with the sausage and egg option and added cheese and it was lush. The spicy tomato and onion chutney in the roll was so nice we bought a jar. I then had a stollen cake for dessert and it came out warm which I've never had before and loved it! A lovely cafe in beautiful Burdord.
