Lovely historical pub with a lovely setting and rear garden overlooking the canal. It is Def worth a lunch stop. We ordered a lamb and a beef roast all good !

First time trying the Chicken and sweetcorn pie! It was savory and made me feel really warm on a cold day. The vegetables gave a good balance to the creamy sauce of the pie as well. Hina, our waitress, was very nice with a great service-minded. Would love to visit the restaurant again!

Absolutely amazing atmosphere! Everything in this place is magical! I went around 5pm for early dinner and drink. The food was amazing. They have Sunday roast even if it Is not Sunday and the lamb was delicious! The waitress Dee was sooo nice and so helpful and calm with all my questions about the menu. The interior in the pub is very interesting and there is also a garden with a view to the canal. 100% recommended!

We had our lunch here today and we enjoyed the experience. The food was great and the ambience was cozy. My friends and I like the old feel of the place. We had ribeye steaks and grilled duck breast and they were delicious. Thanks to Ali, our joyful attendant, for ensuring we have a lovely meal.

Amazing experience! The food is DELICIOUS! I had the mussels (best mussels I had in UK!) and the duck and apricot pie (absolutely delicious!). The staff is so kind and professional! Annie and Ali were great! But also the rest of the staff was awesome! The location is stunning inside and outside! I think it's A MUST in Canterbury! I will definitely come back here next time I'll be in town! Thanks so much for everything! 5 stars aren't enough!

The Old Weavers House is a traditional British restaurant located in the heart of Canterbury. The restaurant is housed in a beautifully restored 16th-century building, and the interior is decorated with exposed beams, timbered walls, and a cosy fireplace. The menu features classic English dishes such as pies, roasts, and fish and chips. The food is all made fresh to order, and the portions are generous. For our main courses, we had the mixed grill and seafood mixed. The mixed grill was cooked to perfection, and the meat was so tender that it melted in our mouths. The seafood was also cooked perfectly, and the flavours were perfectly balanced. The chips were cut in a unique way, which makes a nice change. The service at The Old Weavers House was excellent. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She made sure that we had everything we needed, and she was happy to answer any questions we had. We sat outside in the sun next to the water, but the interior looked amazing too, what gave the restaurant character. I would recommend coming here if you like good food, a little pricey, but I left satisfied, and felt what I paid was worth it.

Lovely old pub, really great vibes. We didn’t reserve a table but the staff managed to find a table for three. The restaurant is decorated with old and vintage appliances, clocks, weapons and glasses. Classic British food. There is also an outdoor patio next to the small canal. Very cute views.

A must do in Canterbury ! We wanted to have a typical dish from Canterbury and this place is definitely the best. The waiters were very friendly and a special thanks to Ali and his colleague for their perfect service. As a main dish, we took a roasted beef and it was very tasty. The dessert was also excellent. I really enjoyed my lunch there and will definitely come back. See you soon !

As a suggestion from our guide we ventured to find this gem in Canterbury. They serve authentic English fare and have gluten free options upon request from the server. Our large group was accommodated upstairs without a wait. The patio was offered and overlooks the canal but it was a little windy and cold. My gluten free shepherds pie was delicious. I loved the Pinot Grigio house wine. The chicken escalope was a great sandwich. The lamb and the apricot pie was rich and delicious. The Chicken Kiev was moist and delicious. The chicken and bacon pie was very hot but after cutting it up and it cooled it was enjoyed and nothing was left. This is a must do place with its cute decor great service and good food. Ali was extra careful to make sure my gluten free needs were taken care of.
