Great service, charming guys at this handy pre-theatre bistro-pub in the old police station, pound and - group dining even here! - the scrubbed and upped police cells. Lovely blasted brick details and creative glass ceiling use of old police photo. With so many corners out of waiter view, they can be 'summonsed' by push-button. A pleasant, slightly loud diner.

Nice relaxing place to go for a ice cold cider by the river after a walk through the town and park

I really enjoyed my delicious lunch here. Flavours were tantalisingly different from what was on offer at other lunchtime venues. Top that with warm and welcoming professional wait staff made for a very pleasant dining experience. Can highly recommend! Well done, keep doing what you do so well!

Wonderful experience with a new tapas menu which was a delight. Enjoyed our host’s friendly, helpful attitude and also the added bonus of the museum tour included with lunch.

Amazing views of Canterbury, escape room (with a brilliant and enthusiastic gamemaster who clearly took great enjoyment and pleasure in his job) and then an amazing meal in Cell 4. Was particularly impressed with our attentive and friendly waiter. Unfortunately I can't remember his name but there's a picture of us so maybe he'll remember us.

We went for a works do and rented the Karakoe room and purchased a couple of drinks packages. Honestly the best value for money in a fantastic setting.
The staff are just brilliant and the food is gorgeous and good value.
Absolutely 💯 recommended and we will definitely be going back 🥰

An old gaol converted to a bar & kitchen. Quirky idea that will appeal to the curious side of everyone. The old cells have been converted to booths. Lovely cocktail list at reasonable prices and you order at your table.

I would give a 10/10 for the restaurant and its location. Its a lovely restaurant, a 5-10 minutes walk from Canterbury west station. There is a lake on the side and they have indoors seating and outdoors as well. The embellished outdoor seating with flower pots makes it so lovely to watch for the whole day.

This is a place you must add your visit list at Canterbury. They are nicely located, I love a good location. Clear and defined theme all the way through the building, unlike some other places who are not truly committed. Clean and stylish, the food and drink was of good quality, call bell system added to the experience, as needed to use it just because I didn’t actually have anything to ask for. They where there when I wasn’t expecting them to be. Staff where really friendly and helpful, knowledgeable.
