Favourite coffee place in Canterbury! Always a lovely coffee, really nice food (I'm a big fan of the sausage rolls with chilli jam) and friendly service. Locally run with a local feel - would recommend.

We dropped by on a hot summer day and the iced latte was just the ticket to help us relax and unwind. We sat inside and it was refreshing to see it was a laptop free coffee shop as well. Anyway, the iced latte they offer is of a very high standard as was my americano. A lot of love goes into their craft and the drinks that they offer are noticeably better than many independent coffee shops. What really made this a special trip for me was the jalapeno cornbread. I'd just had lunch but knew I had to try this, it didn't disappoint. Toasted, with lime butter, it was heavenly. I would have skipped lunch if I'd known and just tried everything else on the menu as well. This is a destination stop, I will be returning and I would 100% recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Try one of the local cafe goals, a single latte with some brown sugar, that's the taste of happiness…The sandwich tastes good, too. I highly recommend it.

Love visiting Fringe + Ginge, the Baristas are lovely and the coffee is excellent. They have a selection of toasted sandwiches and some brilliant cake options as well. Reliably great.

Great coffee and chilled atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming attitude. Love the fact that they have a couple of eco friendly details in the café. They are dog friendly as well!

The best coffee in town. One of the few places where you can taste the different flavours from the beans in an espresso. Plus, incredible toasties.

Outstanding food and service from the team at Fringe + Ginge this afternoon. Fringe + Ginge is a fantastic cafe located in the back streets of Canterbury. Somewhat limited seating but incredibly well decorated (and the outside seating will be a dream in the summer). The pour over coffee was to a very great standard but the star of the show was the Harissa Grilled Cheese. Absolutely magnificent favours bursting out of gorgeously crusted sourdough bread (or I think it was). Made for a delightful lunch out in this cold weather.

We love the coffee shop, where you can find yourself elcoming and cosy. The oat flat white was not a wow but delicious enough to enjoy the coffee. We preferred “Reuben” and “Aubergine + Romesco” pre-coffee and the aubergine + romesco was way much delicious than we thought. Korean kimchi brings a unique taste to the toastie.
