This Indian Restaurant is fabulous ..Good Food in Cardiff with real taste of India. Tried Chicken Tikka Masala: succulent chicken pieces in really masala curry of India with Rice made the journey of food blissful. Ambience: Desi Indian style. Staff helpful and U can enjoy lot of Authentic Keralite dishes with them .
Indian outlet near university hospital of Wales. Small cosy restaurant with bollywood number always playing in background. Good food and a bit higher on price, but that's ok i guess. Overall nice experience.
One of my favourite place when I was in Cardiff. Good place for Indian spices and food. Visited multiple time with my team over there. I miss there food sometime now a days.
If you want authentic Indian experience in Cardiff, this is your mecca! The dishes actually have an Indian origin unlike most of the other 'Indian Cuisine' restaurants. They also have the actual Indian beer 'Kingfisher'. This mains and sides are exquisite and you wont be able to get it anywhere else. The service is up to the mark. They explain the dish while serving them, which would make your mouth water.
Mint and Mustard clearly has a very bright future ahead in the capable hands of Chef Sid Rathore.

We booked and went. Menu is not extensive. There are several vegetarian options and some vegan also. We ordered tandoori cauliflower wings for starters. They were well marinated, crunchy and had delicate smoky flavour. Aubergine for mains was a good choice. Alleppey vegetarian curry was creamy and tasty resembling a bit Thai curry.
It was quiet for a weekend. It is not a good sign. But we were pleasantly surprised by the menu, food quality.
Not your usual Friday night curry.
Beautifully presented, super tasty and really light.
You don't have to go heavy on the carbs but the fig and coriander naan was amazing. It was also grease free! Lovely staff, great meal.
Great Indian food that might not be your regular options so was really interesting. Staff were very friendly, cocktails were delicious and we left very satisfied!
Upsides.
Descent Indian food.
Good portions for reasonable price.
Well cooked mutton with delicious gravy
Good vegetarian food.
Indian bread/Naan/roti was spot on as it should be.
Courteous staff.
Downsides.
Chicken gravy, paneer starter and few dishes were too sweet for the palate.
Only one high chair for kids. So if there are more than one toddlers at the time better ask to reserve before coming in.
Parking may be an issue as it is on a busy road.
We visited this restaurant this evening, having lived very close by for a while and we left wishing we had made the most of the restaurant more often!
If you're looking for exceptional Indian cuisine and great service, this is absolutely the place to go! We loved our evening and will definitely be visiting again soon!
Third time there and it was the best! Very fine indian flavors and excellent service. It is a must on every Cardiff visit!
Ate here for the first time this evening, and found the whole experience exceptional. Pleasant well decorated surroundings, excellent service and a wonderful menu.
We opted for the Tasting Menu 2 and it really was wonderful. Great flavours, well made (the chicken and lamb were rich and melt-in-the-mouth), and beautifully presented. The accompanying wine sampler suited the courses beautifully.
Some may say it's a tad expensive but the place was rammed, and obviously appreciated, so clear not too expensive.
Highly recommend! 👏
